Lost Odyssey and Tales Of Vesperia are basically ties to me. Both are outstanding, long, great characters, awesome bosses, fun combat, great voices, and etc. They are both my favorite xbox 360 game and by far must haves for rpg fans.
FALLOUT 3 (WAR.... WAR NEVER CHANGES.......) great characters weapons enemies music and story i recommend it. DEFINETLY.(also fallout new vegas is out 2010!)

I have actually. I'm about 5 hours into the game and it's alright. It's perhaps a tad on the boring side so far in terms of story, but the classic gameplay is a nice change after ToV. I'm sure it will pick up a bit.

I actually don't like Jansen. I mean he's humurous at times, but he's rather annoying. I just have a feeling he'll grate on my nerves as the game goes on.
I have no problems with Kaim.
You don't like Jansen :O. He's my hero lol but I guess to each his own :P. I think he really lightens up the mood from being super cereal.Lost Odyssey is the best JRPG I have played on the 360, but I don't recall playing any others on the 360. But compared with others JRPG's I have played, LO is up there.
As for WRPG's, Oblvion & Fallout 3 spring to mind. Both are great games, though I do find it hard getting into Fallout 3, but that's because the post-apocalyptic theme & feel puts me off.
Edit: Oh, & Mass Effect, forgot all about it. If you liked KotOR, it's very similar, though combat is only in real time, and quite different.
I recently bought Fallout 3 and I'm having a blast playing it. In my opinion it's miles ahead of Oblivion, which I guess is what most people compare Fallout 3 to, because it's not hampered by Oblivion's idiotic leveling system and has a great setting and amazing environments. To be honest, I haven't played many RPGs on the 360 but I think you'd be hard pressed to find one better than Fallout 3.
Lost Odyssey is great and definitely worth your time if you're looking for a traditional JRPG. It does however feature Mack and Cooke, two of the most irritating characters ever to befoul a video game. Still, if you can control your urge to bludgeon every living thing you can reach every time they're on the screen you'll be fine.
Otherwise, Fable 2 is what's been occupying my time over the last couple of weeks. Lots to see and do, and with a welcome streak of humour running throughout.
fallout 3 without doubt, the greatest of all time.
P.S whyhas everything here turned green??

its from the OP sig, he doesnt know how to work coding and used one that affects the whole page
Out of the ones I've played Mass Effect is the best.Floppy_Jim
I almost said Mass Effect, but when I really thought about it I went away from choosing it. Main Reason because of how repedative the Planet Design is.
The Storyline in Mass Effect is AAA and I could not put my controller down while playing it to see what happens next. but my problem with the game in terms of repedative is that Bioware got Lazy in the world creation. How many times did I raid the SAME BUNKER on a different planet again and again? Easily a couple dozen. I got really sick of the same building over and over again it drove me to insanity. They are lucky the story is AAA and I couldn't stop because if it was Meh, I dont think I would have finished it.
Drew Karpyshyn may very well be the best writer I have ever read, he created the Mass Effect Story, as well as KoToR, and the Darth Bane novels.
Bioware is also my Favourite Developer so it hard for me to be negative to them, but I have to be. The World Builder on Mass Effect, did a Terrible Job.

Fallout 3 was just awesome
Mass Effect would have been the best RPG for the 360, but Bioware failed on the side quests and planets. They were basically an afterthought. Other than that the game is fantastic. As for the best RPG on the 360, its Oblivion for me. Fallout 3 is fantastic as well, but I'm just not as immersed into the story as I was with Oblivion, probably because I am such a big fan of the Elder Scrolls. Gotta hand it to Bethesda though, they created possibly the best RPGs this generation, and could produce three if the Elder Scrolls V comes out before the next generation of consoles.Ghost_Warrior
Elder Scrolls V is supposed to come out in 2010

Bethesda WANTS it to come out in 2010 but its never going to happen. If it was that far along in developement it would have been at E3. Its easily goona be 2011 even Late in the year.
Coming from someone who has played almost every RPG on the 360 and owns the large majority of them, I can say without a doubt that Oblivion is the best RPG on the 360.
For JRPG's, Tales of Vesperia.
Lost Odyssey was good, the memory returning sequences were the best written parts of the game, but the battle system completely ruined it for me. It wasn't the turn based nature, it was the row system which basically Over Powered every boss in the game. The large majority of them towards the end would 1 shot your GC of the front row and have easy access to spamming massive AOE spells on everyone afterward.
Blue Dragon was decent but just couldn't pull me in that well. I found the battle and class system more enjoyable than LO's though.
The truth is though, that I'm feeling pushed away from JRPG's. Their stories are simply so impossibly over the top that I can't get into them (except being LO). For example In Tales of Vesperia the heir to the throne is just allowed to do whatever she pleases basically. Sure they make vain attempts to get her to go back to the castle "Princess do you really think you should be doing this?" but I couldn't help shaking the feeling that there's no way a real princess would be allowed to tell the royal guards she was "going adventuring" and that be the end of it. Much less them handing her over to a wanted criminal and saying "protect her". W. . .T. . .F. Still, Tales has felt like the most complete JRPG which all the customizations and side stuff to do. And story isn't even half bad as long as you can look over the initial concept of some the characters.
I just find WRPG's to have a feeling of actually being "in" a world. Most JRPG's don't create that atmosphere. They give you a more linear story allowing for creative storytelling, but I can't help shaking the feeling of "I want to go examine stuff on this side of town" while the story pushes me in another direction or they simply don't allow you to access the whole town.
Please don't think I'm some JRPG snob either. I've spent 100 hours on Oblivion, 50+ hours on LO, 20+ hours on Tales (just got the game), 40+ on Blue Dragon, 20+ on Eternal Sonata. Just to name a few. Not counting Mass Effect, Two Worlds, Fallout 3.
I guess I've just been spoiled by Oblivion.

I agree with Fallout 3 but I couldn't get into Mass Effect
SameJeez...I should go and count all the post I've said this in. It has to be at least 20 by now. But, not only do I think Tales of Vesperia is the best RPG on the 360, I think it's the best game on the system. Someone else has already given the reason why. Admittedly I haven't beaten any other RPG (aside from Oblivion/Fallout, which both are terrible (aside from graphics, but that causes a lot of bugs) in my opinion) on the 360, but judging by reviews and from what I have played of others, Tales of Vesperia is still the best. In terms of combat fun, Star Ocean is a close second, however.
Edit: Fable 2 is pretty fun, also, but I think ToV beats it in nearly every category. Fable 2 beats it in only that you see your character change with your decisions/weapons/armor. ToV has the weapons down, but armor, not really.
