I purchased an 20 gb NTSC 360 console in december 2006. I live in the United Arab Emirates. Suppose my xbox were to go rrod how could i register my device at xbox.xom for repair.. My country is not listed. I registered for xbox live using an address in India as it was the closest location to my country where i have a valid address. If I register the console to that address will i still be able to ship out the coffin from my home in the United Arab Emirates? Or would they just send the coffin to the registered address - i.e. India? One more thing, I no longer have the receipt for my console purchase, will that be an issue? I do however have the original box. There is no official agent for microsoft in the United Arab Emirates.

Well if the next xbox releases at the end of 2012 and is the first console released, it will have been 7 years long. That's plenty long for a console generation if you ask me.

Yep. Last gen lasted for 4-5 years.

Maybe for the PS2 but I got bored of my xbox right when I saw the 360.
