My guess is that at E3 09 all 3 companies give a teaser and very small amounts of info on new consoles. Then in 2010 they reveal them, then they all launch in the 3Q of 2011. This is simpley something I think that is not basesed on any facts but in 2012 Apple launches a system.

I think that they'll announce them in 2010, Show them off in 2011 and release them in 2012
what most people are worried about is microsoft cutting all support for the 360 once the next xbox is released..something microsoft pretty much confrimed wont happen since they're actually profitting with the 360.
2012-2013...microsoft was eager to start this generation because the xbox was lagging behind the ps2...this time its almost the exact opposite...so they will wait another 3-4 years...sony wont start it either,seeing they have said they want the ps3 to have a long life cycle and its almost catching up....

It seems that way because everyone keeps talking about it. But do we really know when it ends? We're just guessing here:PI know.. Hopefully it will last longer than we think :)

Well if the next xbox releases at the end of 2012 and is the first console released, it will have been 7 years long. That's plenty long for a console generation if you ask me.

Maybe for the PS2 but I got bored of my xbox right when I saw the 360.
