@JFERNANDEZ84 http://uk.gamespot.com/news/next-gen-not-needed-until-2017-says-heavy-rain-dev-6377776

-First few paragraphs & then Kara's imbedded at the end of the article. Was wrong about Cage actually saying that they'd be continuing to develop for the PS3, but he certainly seemed to imply it.

@JFERNANDEZ84 Nope, David Cage announced not too long ago that the PS3's still got a lot of life in it & that the studio will continue to develop for it for a while yet. Watch the Kara tech demo; that should show you the kind of graphics that the console is capable of pulling off in-game.

While the graphics may be getting really outdated now, this is more than made up for by the absolutely fantastic art. The gameplay's looking brilliant too - fluid yet truly 'playable' (as opposed to stuff like Splinter Cell Blacklist's execution mechanic).

I'm surprised that Danny wasn't corrected when he mentioned Conquest & Famine - in the Darksiders universe the other 2 Horsemen are replaced with Strife & Fury respectively.

@Mega_Skrull Oh yeah I'm still really hyped for it & will almost definitely be getting it. Just surprised & a little disappointed.

The demo was amazing, so hyped now! The ending was very cleverly done with the reappearance of the earlier screens which almost certainly would've been prevalent in the player's mind after their earlier appearance (because who wouldn't think that piling them up just to convey a short message before going up in flames isn't ridiculous?), the flickering of the characters involved & the changes in the meaning of their positions.

The gameplay looks great & they seem to have done a fantastic job capturing the free-running in the wilderness. I'm still a bit concerned about how much 'America f*** yeah' there seems to be though; the Brits so far have been portrayed almost exclusively as 'bad guys' (bar that one commander who flashes up for a brief second seemingly talking to Connor while smoking a cigar) while we're yet to see Conner kill a single American or see them behave aggressively towards him. I know Ubisoft implied that they weren't going to have bias in the game when they said that Connor only involved himself in the Templar/Assassin conflict rather than the British/American conflict & that there were Templars on both sides, but so far the footage seems to show otherwise. Am yet to watch the Ubi press conference though so fingers crossed that I'll be proved wrong.

It's not open world? That's a disappointment. Not that it ruins the game for me, would just have been nice & I kinda assumed it would be (especially considering it's Bethesda).

Cannot wait to see what they produce. I would say fingers crossed that it isn't a Heavy Rain 2, but I think we all know Quantic Dream better than that.

I hope to high hell it delivers on everything he talks about - the whole 'FarCry as the definitive shooter' thing kinda made me doubt that the entire video was anything but a 4-&-a-half minute boast. As someone currently studying social psychology (well, a single module & elements of it in others, but I'd like to think that entitles me somehow), I'm very interested in seeing how it's applied to the inhabitants of the island. Also the idea of shooting a gun for a first time - KILLING someone for the first time, is something I've wanted to see in a shooter for a long time & has only ever been scraped at in past games.

As has been pointed out below though, those point popups totally ruin the immersion. Dispose of those, Ubisoft, & then you can start making claims about entering the character's head & feeling what it is truly like.
