*For those that can't tell when I'm being sarcastic, here's your cue.* I'll tell you... I'm offended that the game is called HITMAN. With all the Politically Corrected terms like Policeman, Fireman, Mailman becoming Police OFFICER, Fire FIGHTER, and Mail CARRIER... because, OMG "They aren't all MEN... there ARE WOMEN TOO" I just don't think it's fair to men that we should allow women to change only the names they want, and leave titles with negative connotation... like HITMAN and.... BAD GUY!!!

Back to seriousness, I've enjoyed my day, I liked the trailer, the CG was amazing, those women were hot, and that bald dude was a badass.... not sure why that's a bad thing but I hope everyone else enjoys being so grumpy all the time over something that's.... ENTERTAINMENT.

You know, I really love the 2010's and by that I mean quite the opposite. The decade where everything that could have been enjoyed several years ago, be it games or fast food, is a political debate. No matter what you make, it's an endless battle. I draw a stick man, well, why is it a man? Why isn't he metal? Why sticks and not straw or bricks? Why are they black lines on white instead of white lines on black? Is that a racial statement? Does the lack of color suggest I'm against gays? Am I making some sort of religious reference? Am I making a statement about anorexia, obesity, or teaching young girls that they should be thin like my drawing? .... NO, ITS A FREAKIN' STICKMAN!!

@camyers1310 Yeah, I have both. That's indeed how it could be done. But since repelling, fast rope, turrets, cover and all that are in 3rd person, the only thing in 1st person is your movement. So, couldn't that just be an option? That's all I'm getting at. Because those things that Vegas puts in 3rd person work well. So in Gears, rolling, cover, blindfire etc would probably be best in 3rd person. So the only 1st person stuff would be running around. There are first person elements anyway with the Hammerburst sight and Longshot scope. Games like Halo do all the turret and vehicle stuff in 3rd person. The over-the-shoulder stuff in Gears is pretty much a 1st person view. I'm not against new ideas, quite the contrary. I just don't understand the need to still have that separation in the genre label between 3rd and 1st person since some games use both anyway.

I won't make a huge deal of it but I'm not a fan of the statement Rod said about "It's all about what's interesting in the industry at the time". That's not about new ideas. That's about catering and following trends. That's how you get stale games and been-there-done-that syndrome. I think great ideas and great new IPs are all about "What no one else is doing" or "What no one else could do as well as this". Open mind, yes. Bandwagon, no.

I love that Point of View is still a genre defining element in shooters. In racing games, there's button you press to shift between a 3rd Person Racer and a 1st Person Racer. Fallout, Skyrim, games like that let you choose. But yeah, great idea... I bet blind fire, staring at walls while in cover, wallbouncing and rolling around is a blast in 1st Person view. Can't wait...

@MJ12-Conspiracy "Gee...why would you want to bring back ROAD RASH? I mean, racing motorcycles on 2-lane roads while hitting dudes in the heads with clubs and chains doesn't sound like the coolest videogame concept ever to me!..."

Oh man, I've been saying BRING BACK ROAD RASH for years. It's ridiculous how long the series has been gone. I still play the Genesis games just for a fix and even those are better than the games they're pumping out now. It would be such an easy game to make right, but honestly, they would F it up. I know they would. But they could at least TRY a few times instead of NFS spamming all the time.

@NightFox313 PS2 version of HP2's Hot Pursuit mode was so fun. Especially 2player Split-Screen. I love that game. I played that and MW a ton. So absolutely check out NFSIII on PS1 because even if you don't like it more than those like I do, I think you will still enjoy it! I only put NFSIII as my favorite because of the options and the original music that changes based on where you on the track or if you crashed or something. It also adds more layers on each lap. So by the last lap it's the same music as Lap 1 but FULL ON. The chase music in MW is sort of similar how it would change dynamically. It also has Arcade and Simulation handling options. OPTIONS! I think the controls on that game are perfect. It just has a really good feel. It's one of those games where I think that any negatives you can give it, even today, are purely limitations of the time or legal reasons (like not being able to use the Ferrari in HP mode). My highest recommendations.

Hey DUDE! You know what's worse than not being to access those fast cars right away?? (Even though most times you can use all cars outside of career from the beginning) Not being able to access MANUAL TRANSMISSION EVER. No manual. No buy.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted was the last NFS I really liked, thanks for making me append "the 2005 one by Blackbox, not the 2012 version by Criterion even though they are both on the Xbox 360" to the end of that statement. It just rolls right off the tongue. Just like how I have to be quite specific that my favorite NFS is Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit.... not Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. "No no, the one with the 3 is actually the first Hot Pursuit. It was on the original Playstation and was a lot better. Yes, in 1998 they had manual. Day and Night driving. Weather options. You could drive tracks normal, backwards, mirrored, or backwards-mirrored. Set lap number. Adjust traffic density. Every button could be assigned exactly as you wanted it. If you want D-Pad Right to be Accelerate, O to be Steer Left, and L2 to be Steer Right, you can play like that. Yep, original music. Fantastic original music I might add. Yeah, cops had to actually stop you by blocking and pinning, not from smashing into you. Yep, AND splitscreen. Yes it even had options to remove the display in parts or in whole. There is no End User License Agreement though... I really enjoy reading and agreeing to those. But, the game is 14 years old and I still play it. It's amazing!" The good news now though is that there are no more NFS titles to ruin, unless in 2014 Criterion makes Road & Track presents The Need for Speed.

Nice video. I'll likely get one of these. Never got a 3DS because I imagined a NEW VERSION would come along soon enough. My only gripe is that Gamespot is running a bootleg SFII board. For shame Gamespot... for shame.

Give me a Retro Studios produced 2D Metroid to the quality of DKC Returns with zero cutscenes, zero dialogue, and some new ideas instead of "You lost all your weapons" and I'll buy your... WiiU thingamajig.

It's like a buffet. But instead of a variety of flavors, my stealth and horror trays have been removed to expand the action shooter trays. I now have a plate of noodles and nothing else. And my fortune cookie is telling me "Patience is a virtue, not a game mechanic" I'm not leaving a tip.

As with most things, there needs to be balance. And the E3 stage demos were basically just blood soaked brass ejecting f-bombs. None of which I mind, but it needs to be in doses. Like a good meal, you need time where you aren't eating to appreciate it. Sleep is only really appreciated after being tired. So, I don't think any one game was "too far", it was just that when you had them all back to back it was "too much". Like listening to 3 death metal cds back to back. You can only be mad for so long. And then you're just thinking "Shut up already".

Even being a fan of MK since the original arcade release and games like Battlefield, Dead Space, Silent Hill and Gears and such, I was thinking "Oh good... more gruesome deaths." It's actually a bit ironic that this year's E3 showed so many in-your-face ultra-ass-kicking demos, yet I felt it was probably the most boring E3 I've ever seen. Boring because there was nothing new. And with everything reaching a very similar realistic graphical point, they all look the same. There's very little style. Every game has "REAL" guns and "REAL" this so that you don't get those really creative things. Buildings, trees, AK-47s. When you can create anything, it's a shame that all we do is stick with what already exists. That's not all cases, but a lot of it. As I say, individually, they're fine games. But when bunched togethers, it's just a whole lot of "the same". So, while everything was technically (and literally) mind blowing, the fatigue of having it cranked to 10 all the time and predictability of it all were the real issues, not the violence.

It's just fatigue.
