@2bitSmOkEy That's my favorite RE. And I think they were originally going to do that for 2 and 3, but instead just ported the original games. That would have been epic.
@joqqy @Bayonetta2013 That's the thing, IF it was actually going to be a proper Mirror's Edge game, hell yeah! But I could easily see it being a "re-imagining". And just like any genre that had it's own flavor 5 years ago before drifting more and more to the PointAPointB Shoot Everything genre, it's unique twist would be toned down and the gun play turned up so that by time it was done, the only way you would know it was Mirror's Edge, is because of the title. I can think a lot of awesome games that took that route within the last few years.
I still love playing SR2. I never got SR3. I played quite a bit at a friends house a couple of times. Bits of it were cool and I'm not sure why exactly but the charm seemed to be missing for me. Maybe it was trying too hard to be epic. Like it thought MAX VOLUME all the time and elbowing me saying "LOOK LOOK ISN'T THIS EXTREME!!!!" was the answer. But I really preferred SR2's balance of normal and insane. It made the ridiculousness stand out more. In 3, it was all so full-on that nothing really stood out to me. BUT, I only play a few hours of it so I can't judge the entire game but it never really hooked me like SR2.
@thenephariouson Whether this stuff gets made up, leaked, or "leaked" on purpose to test people's reactions, I think it's important to make it known how stupid of an idea it is so that when the OFFICIAL announcement comes out, any of it that was on the table as a possibility, they can brush off as rumor. "Of course we're supporting used games. How ridiculous if we didn't. lol."
