Nasty issue going on with the quest "Warble of a Smitten Knight" From the B&W DLC. Lots of people already know about the Roach freezing in place for the race bug.
But a nastier bug lies in wait after. I didn't really notice when it happened. And no one has figured out what triggers this in the quest (i think) other than the glitch happens at some point in the actual side quest.
Lock on gets disabled. For apparently the rest of the game. (Some have said it gets restored at like the last quest of the DLC). You can apparently load a previous save before the quest (if you luckily saved or you get lucky with auto save checkpoints and didn't play to far past the quest) and that will fix the issue.
"The internet is too mean" is what I'm reading here.
No, the problem is that Microsoft didn't explain anything in a way that would tell gaming demographics "this is good, you want this".
All people heard was "Used games are going bye-bye. Hope yer internet connection is good"
They didn't properly explain the benefits. And when they tried to, it was just more confusing each time. All the while, their competition saw this weakness and capitalized on it.... hard.
"But people are too stooopid. They explained it just fine!!" you might say...
...then why the backlash? Last I checked, a company is supposed to get consumers, dumb or smart, to WANT to buy their product.
MS simply did a poor job on it. And now they're re-writing their script every week.
Now it doesn't need the Kinect? So then why am I paying 100$ extra for one?!
Simply put, the game is more focused. A good choice for a new IP. Not only could it be a new feature down the line for a sequel, but the game should stick to what it's primary bullet points entail. As everyone has said by now.... this isn't GTA. Just cause it's a sandbox game where you drive and stuff doesn't mean it has to wear every hat. GTA's scope is meant to be larger. Let's not forget that Watchdogs still has to prove itself. Aiden is a hacker. Why would he need to fly a plane? I wanna do hacker stuff.
The creative director went on record saying he wanted the designs to be ridiculous and outrageous. It's a fantasy work with heaving muscles, giant monsters, and women with fantastical curves. It was intended that way. The way I look at it is... how would I like my characters to be remembered.... suuure I could have a generic, fantasy-inspired, anime sorceress.... or I could have a sorceress that EVERYONE is talking about. So when people talk about characters in the years to come... when someone mentions "THE SORCERESS" they think of the one from this game.
Soooo many games come out that have something that pushes the envelope... especially lots of japanese RPG games... maybe it will be a dialogue box that just makes you go "what? did they just say that?" or maybe it's a harder to find mini-game where you date countless women.
Hells yeah! Keep em coming, I love a new reason to visit the Borderlands.
DLC done right! Give us a game you can easily sink 50+ hours into, and if we enjoy all that, I have the opportunity to lengthen the longevity of my original purchase. I'm happy to give more of my money to a company that does good work.
@Gra_ham_man5 @Redpool "Grow up" says a guy raging in caps over someone giving a lower review on a game he hasn't even played yet. "Grow up" says someone who seems like they're gonna cry because a game they haven't played yet might not "be goty" or "get the praise it deserves". No one is gonna stop you from buying and enjoying the game. Why do you care so much whether it's game of the year? Just so you can lean back in your office chair, bag of chips by your hand, no one around you, and go "I was saying GOTY since the beginning" and a nice slow clap will come from your mom downstairs.
