I do like the tone of the cutscene but while the voice actor isn't in any way bad, I still want Stephen Russell back

@Kevin-V @Rheinmetal Thank you thank you thank you for this comment. Battling gamer (anti) fanatic ignorance one comment at a time.

I never asked why Solidus was made the way he was so that's irrelevant. As for the first part of you're response, all you're doing is proving my point. He looks like Snake when they are about the same age yet when they are both incredibly old they look nothing like each other. Kojima messed up there, say what you will.

@4-Legged-Shark I don't think so, I asked him about it on twitter. And instead of tweeting me back he ended up sending me a direct message (as if to avoid public notice) saying that while Richard Doyle is a great voice actor he IS NOT Snake.

I'm kind of indifferent to the matter to be honest. I've always associated David Hayter's voice to SOLID Snake not NAKED Snake (who only keeps that name for one game). I mean, this could also be due to the only game I've played with Boss being MGS3 though I hope to change that soon with the HD edition (don't know if I'll ever be able to play PO). In all honesty, I feel like Kojima screwed up on this a while ago.

Why is it that when we play as Boss in MGS3 he looks like young Snake when in reality Solidus was the perfect clone, not Solid Snake. It's something that bothered me and was even more apparent at the end of MGS4 when Boss looked nothing like Old Snake at the end yet they continued to use his features in PO and PW. At least that's what it looks like, seeing as I haven't played them.

Maybe it's cause of the graphics overhaul, but it looks like Boss is starting to have his own look for the first time since we've been able to play with him which would explain the new voice....but then again that doesn't explain the Japanese voice actor being the same.

@plasticreality I disagree. He had to make a compromise and he made the one that made the most sense in terms of delivering his creative ideal and ensuring that it was a success. The game (based off of what he has said in interviews) still has a healthy representation of a female lead and making that compromise with the cover just might allow for the issue to be resolved come future titles in video games. e.g. A cover with a female lead on the front being the one that is more well received by the general audience.

@mike468 @Fauxmar I understand that, but I'm specifically talking about games that are digitally distributed

I mean, it's a step in the right direction but the fact that her pony tail is the only part of her hair reacting to anything when TressFX is on is somewhat disapointing, gonna have to pass sadly.

@bunty_007 it's an first person just like dishonored, the game that took a great deal of inspiration of the franchise which started in 1998

@zero_reiko except don't judge a book by it's cover, also Garrett has been sporting that garb long before the Dark Brother Hood was even though of and here's some trivia: Emil Pagliarulo the creator of the Dark Brotherhood first started in the industry when he helped LGS develop Thief 2 which then inspired him to work on the TBH quest line in Oblivion.

Also, while you can kill in Thief you can also perform the challenging task of playing throughout the game without killing anyone like I did in Expert when I completed the game for my first time earlier this year (though I started last year, twas a long process).
