They do make a difference the long the cable the more likely to notice the difference. The higher priced cables tend to have better insulation and frequecy protection.wooooode

Because it is a digital signal and not analog, you do not have to be worried about outside interference. I agree with others who say the price does not matter. The signal works or it does not. If you catch HD channels over the air, you can see an example of this. When you don't have a good signal the image will start pixelating and dissappear till the signal is complete again. If you are watching regular SD channels, if you experience signal lose, you might just get a fuzzy screen but still see the image.

If there was a national ranking for achievements, I can understand the concern. If they choose to have a hollow sense of accomplishment, let them. Why get upset over others choices that have no relevance over your life? Let it be...

[QUOTE="X-7"]From what my friend told me Microsoft put in heatsinks which were not in the original systems. They come standard now I believe. My friend also told me that they put those in the systems they send back from repairs. He has not had any problems since then.Blueresident87

This is true; if they are sent back for repairs they have the heatsink put in no matter how old the system is

Heatsinks or not, my friend's 360 broke a couple of months ago. When he got a refurbished unit back from the repair center, it RROD'ed on him right away.

My 360 died or 360's depending how you look at it have died three times. The last time was a couple of weeks before Halo 3 came out. The refurbished one I got, third different serial number or system if you will, has the new heat sinks. The 360 is still running but I get dirty disc errors everyonce in awhile where I used to never get them.

I believe the Elites are just as vulnerable. Although I think the heatsinks help, they are not full proof. Maybe when MS starts using the thinner and cooler running CPU drive, then this problem may go away. But considering its the graphics processor that overheats and melts soldering points on the chip, I don't know if a new cooler CPU will help. Perhaps the overall lower running heat of the system, who knows?

There are many reasons for a price drop. If they plan to drop it, E3 would be the time to do so. I think they would drop 50 off both the pro and elite, then drop the arcade to the wii price point. Don't get your hopes up though. If Sony stays put, I'm sure MS won't budge.

The first game I kept for more than two weeks was Hot Shots Golf 5. I bought Warhawk and returned it a few days later and kept Assassin's Creed for a couple of weeks...

If it happens on every game including demos, I'd call XBOX. Mine did that awhile back and I had to send it in for repairs.

I have all three sytems. I only had one game in mind when I bought the PS3 and thats Hot Shots Golf 5. I bought warhawk and sold it back within days because of disappointment. I had assassins creed but really didnt get into it and brought that back in like two weeks. I do have Hots Shots Golf right now and enjoy it. There are some exclusives to look forward to, but I don't think it is a must have system at this point. I do have some comfort in knowing that blu-ray has won the next video format war. So thats a bonus feature, I didn't want to support a format till there was a clear cut winner. Now I buy the blu-ray copy of movies instead of dvd. I guess if your strapped for cash though, you should at least wait for another price cut.

[QUOTE="Large_Soda"][QUOTE="odin2019"]

[QUOTE="aaron6581230"]What GTA4 incident? You mean the freezing/bricking problem that was overly exagerated over the internet that Rockstar and Sony quickly fixed? On my part, I think they did a great job when they found that there was a problem with the gameodin2019

Thats not even close to the problem that is going on. All if not most of those 10 out 10 reviews you see on gamerankings.com have been rigged by rockstar.

Rigged how? Actually screw it, I don't care how, this just reeks of typical backlash from something that becomes "too" popular. The game is great and deserves its scores.

All you have to do is type in GTA4 reviews rigged by rockstar on google and you will be directed to whats going on. I have come to the conclusion about some of you all and that is that either you all are not hard to impress when it comes to games or you are just huge fans of GTA in general.

Take matters into your own hands, rent the game first. Formulate your own opinion and don't listen to reviews. You won't believe what the reviewers say online but you'll believe other websites talking conspiracy? Stop being paranoid and think for yourself.
