@JBStone1981 I'd be more interested in buying a PS4 if it were backwards compatible, for a number of reasons. One... I'd rather have one PlayStation connected to my TV to leave room for other devices. Second... Each generation has added more plus to backwards compatibility... PS2 allowed texture smoothing for PSX games, and PS3 allowed hard-drive saves for both generations. Third... less hardware is less clutter. Having several PS3 controllers takes up a fair bit of space, then I'd have to throw in several PS4 controllers as well... When backwards compatibility would render the old controllers obsolete, and could be given to a friend/relative or sold.

Both are an issue. I'd say that the main reason why the deluxe model is selling more than the basic is because... well... Nintendo Land (or other pack-in titles like ZombiU). Deluxe bundle including a game: $350. Basic model plus a game: $360. People who aren't huge gamers are going to take price into consideration, and Nintendo Land will look appealing. Those who are huge gamers see the value in the extra stuff, the included game and the 4x extra storage. Drop the price and you'd see an increase in sales on both, but the deluxe would still outsell the basic due to the value.

After doing some research online, I've found that ad revenue doesn't generate that much money for YouTube uploaders. At most generous, about $5 for 1000 video views. And you have to be a YouTube partner. And the ads have to be clicked on. With that in mind, I have subscribed to a number of LPers on YouTube, and many of them have about 1000 to 10,000 views per video... Which they release 1, maybe 2 per day. Now let's be generous again and say they release 2 videos per day, they get 10,000 views, and 20% of viewers click the ads (I've never clicked an ad...). In the run of a month they made about $60. That doesn't even pay the power bill.

Why people are making a big deal out of this, and why Nintendo is even bothering with this in the first place is beyond me. The only LPers I could see possibly making any money off of their videos would be Game Grumps since they get hundreds of thousands of views, and upload several videos per day.

I'm curious as to what more they could announce... The HD version of Okami is perfection and doesn't need any more love. Unless they're doing a multiplatform release to Xbox 360 and Wii U...

It's a pretty sad list, especially considering half of the 8 games are already on the Wii U virtual console. Then the rest, excluding Super Mario World, are just not as fun today as they were back in the 80's. I think they could have made better picks, or at least made more variety. Looking forward to chronicling my adventures through SMW either way, tho. But still... I will be disappointed if it actually doesn't launch until Friday since I'm off today and tomorrow from work this week, then I work Friday and the weekend, and I'll barely be home again until a week later. I'd like to play on my day off! lol

If they were to take this translation and release the game on the Wii U VC, then take the NES Mother game and release that since it was originally already translated anyway, that would be amazing.
