The sad thing is this is pretty much entirely the fault of the Rhode Island government. They mouthed off about the financial instability of 38 Studios and it cost them a deal with a distributor for Kingdoms of Amalur 2, which would have either given them enough breathing room to get the payments out or even paid off the loan in the first place.

@Tiwill44: Half of those games arent vaporware. They have actually moved forward talking about the last guardian. Zelda is almost always pushed back by nintendo and not much released until closer to release. Sea Of thieves got announced only a few months ago. Cyberpunk is in full swing right now. HL3 cant even be vaporware because valve hasnt even said they are (or even are planning on) working on it. You seem a tad misinformed about most of the games.

@ObxChillin: Look at it this way, Gstop has a free controller deal going with X1 and you can essentially get a free game with almost every X1 bundle anyways. So in theory, if you wanted one of the bundled games anyways and need a second controller you could actually end up on top being that the game and controller retail together for over 100 bucks.

But yeah, the deal is stupid as hell. They want you to bring in your used stuff so they can resell it rather than profit off the new console market.

This is a bad idea for the gaming industry. Its already ridiculously expensive to get even half decent voice actors. I'm not saying they shouldnt be compensated, but really guys? You arent selling more games by getting voice actors that are fairly well known. Did anyone buy Destiny to hear Peter Dinklage? And you know he was among the highest paid per line of any recent video game.

Honestly, im mad they reversed course. I like the change in 24 hour check but i was happy about the xbox live family sharing and the disc-less gaming.

And for anyone who keeps touting that the PS4 is more powerful... you guys realize that the PS3 was much more powerful than the 360 and it didnt matter cuz guess what, they play the same ****ing games. And you are forgetting that cloud processing will more than make up for the difference.

@video_gamer13 You do know that the game is available in full form. You can buy the whole thing. You are actually complaining that a fighting game that is free to play and you only need to pay for the guys you actually want is bad. How sad are you? First off you are the idiot for not fully reading up on the game and secondly you are the idiot for thinking that a free to play game is a bad idea. How dare a person only want to pay for the stuff they will use.

Sony has never said there will be no restrictions, they have only made very basic broad sweeping statements in regards to all their policies. Wait until they actually detail the stuff. Xbox could easily say a lot of the same stuff as Sony has. Xbox will allow lending, used games and all that. The only thing that we know for sure is there is no 24 hour authentication period. Other than that there are no real facts, just generalized statements with no real information.

People say its good because person 1 will buy a game, play it, sell it and buy a new game. So now you have 1 guy buying 2 new games and 1 guy buying used games and not giving a red cent to the publisher. How is that different than blocking used games and having both guys buy the new game?

People need to grow up. Getting rid of used sales is nothing but good for the industry. While im not a huge fan of the required 24 hour check in, i can totally deal with it. It sucks for those that lack an internet connection, but it likely spells the end for an Xbox live subscription.
