Didn't a study come out a few months ago saying that only like 15-20% of gamers actually finish games? If anything they need to be more creative in how they make long-lasting experiences. Skyrim - for example - was about immersion, not just content.
This art-style is bullshit. It's not 'stylized realism', it looks like a cartoon. Leave that for games like Fable. Dragon age is supposed to have a mature setting, and that needs a mature art-style.
Here's a better way to randomize teams. We do this when playing NHL or Madden.
Two random teams back to back. You have the option of either picking one of the two, or gambling on a third random team. The third team is locked-in, however, so it's a do-or-die.
Danny you've got literally the same video game music playlist as me with Skyrim, AC2, and Brotherhood.
As for games I return to frequently, it begins and ends with the Elder Scrolls. I still play Skyrim regularly, and played Oblivion the same amount before Skyrim came out. Bethesda Game Studios is the model of how a game company should run in my opinion. They create games that can be manipulated into hundreds of hours of entertainment, release them far enough apart that your excitement for them is unparalleled, and they're simply offer the most immersive experiences in any medium of entertainment.
PS - I play on consoles, so this whole point of view is disregarding mods.
My favorite game ending of all time was Assassin's Creed 2. The subsequent games ruined the allure of it significantly, but the first time I witnessed it I was left completely in shock. You have no way of anticipating it, are completely surprised by it, and when you replay the game you realized there were small hints to it throughout the game.
Brotherhood had a similar impact because there was still a ton of mystery to it that wasn't even brought up until the ending, but with its conclusion and the "truth" puzzles, there were enough clues to piece together conjecture. AC3 destroyed all of this because they likely bite off a bigger narrative piece than they could chew, but I'll still remember AC2's ending as one of the best.
