So NSMB U was filled with new ideas and innovation? Like others have said, this boils down to sales.

I already turned away from the Xbox brand because of the rrod. This entire situation just gave me even more incentive not to go back.

People forgiving Microsoft so quickly are like a girl who gets yelled at and abused by her psychotic boyfriend, but then leaps back into his arms because he apologizes and brings flowers.

This is a positive change, but their reputation has already been damaged.

I Plan to get a Wii U -- not for a pad, but for the games. Nintendo should have left out the pad altogether and made the system a little more powerful than the current gen. Then they should have waited until more flagship titles were nearly ready before releasing it.

@Icepick_Trotter Very hard to disagree when you word it like that.

1) Make the world more open, like in the original LOZ. The dungeons could still be kept in order.

2) Get rid of conventions such as needing a bomb bag. Add new items or revisit some of the long-neglected ones.

3) Add more hidden/optional areas and use new ways to discover them. Blowing up rocks to find a hole beneath is no longer exciting.

4) Don't add so much fluff at the beginning. Make it so that you can enter the world and start exploring within half an hour.

@Mugzippit @Icepick_Trotter They were both horrid, but not because of the top-down perspective.

After seeing Nintendo's "3D" Mario of this gen, I'm more excited about this game.
