I've played every Rainbow Six since Raven Shield, and this is honestly my favorite in the series. I don't think I've ever devoted this much time to a multiplayer shooter and still have an absolute blast playing it. I'm always finding new tactics and a way to get a leg up on my enemy. The rabbit hole goes deep with this game, and couldn't be happier with the way it turned out.
@Phazevariance: Looking like Vive if you're wanting the most premium headset, though it's honestly not so much better that that will be the deciding factor, alone. Unless you have a good deal of disposable income, it'll probably be good to wait a year or so to see what the landscape of exclusives/reviews will be like before making a decision.
1-The game still isn't finished, so there's still room for graphical improvement.
2- It's obvious that a lot of the shots used were from unflattering/unremarkable angles. Whoever set up these clips, just like trailers for the first game, kind of undersell how nice the game actually looks from the player's perspective.
While based on what I've seen and heard that the game overall looks great, 1:11-1:20 Does look like crap. The scene of the player opening the door kind of reminds me of the ramp before fighting bed of chaos - that area looked like unfinished crap.
People still care this much about the review-score? Stop caring so much about the reviewer's attempt to quantify quality, and pay attention to what he actually says. Disagree with him? No need to crucify the guy; plenty of other outlets are out there to validate your own perceptions and opinions.
I'll never understand people saying they won't get this BECAUSE Hayter isn't voicing BB -- let's ignore the other hallmarks of the franchise, shall we?
Seriously though, to me, this means that Solid Snake is likely to have a role of some importance here, and that Hayter will be back to fill that role. I won't be surprised either way, but expect Kojima, again, to pull another fast one on us.
@6orange6 Tywin and Bolton were the real architects of the plan. Walder was just the means to the end. Also: the rules of hospitality is viewed as sacred by the Westerosi - the last thing they were expecting would be any sort of actual violence. Expect house Frey's name to go into the dirt after this.
How are people worried about this? It's CD Projekt for God's sake. Even if you aren't happy with what they've said here, it'll be another thing completely actually playing it.
@Atheosis @DiscGuru101 This game is meant to be replayed ferociously; if you know anything about P* games, there's many combat-rated sections for each "act" that will draw you back over and over. Not to mention, the 20 VR challanges and tons of collectibles and unlockable items.
