I am done with feedbackula now. Yes you made your point and it was a good one.
2 points though; First you use a platform designed to mock and verbally abuse people over grammar for laughs, to attack people who abuse one of your own. (ever consider some of those non angry comments from past feedbackula's come from people who might be dyslexic? or denied the education you had?) Second, you let foul language into your message boards. Personal attacks are the twin brother of foul language online, you shouldn't need to be told that. 3 strikes and you are out is bolting the door after the horse has bolted. You set the tone by verbally insulting commentators on previous feedbackula. That sent out a message; insults are ok with us.
hmmm, hard to call this. The people who attack the reviewer personally should have been banned from the site. Moderators need a line in the sand, remind everybody of where that line is and enforce it. Personal insults have been sliding into this site along with foul language for some time now unchecked.
I do think the review was poorly written, By taking 10% from a game score and then laying out your reasons, you are sending a message to the game developers; fix this and I will be content.
The trouble is, the game was slated for and I quote [being] " Politically muddled and profoundly misogynistic".
Clearly the reviewer has confused the concepts of satire and political messaging. The game slates everybody from liberals to the extreme right. As a political statement it looks muddled. The problem is, it *isn't* a political message, it is satire of the American Dream. And everybody who says America is the land of opportunity and believes it, is in the game's sights. The reviewer made a bad call, move on.
As for profoundly misogynistic. To qualify for 'profoundly', and justifying hacking 10% of a score that 500 peoples 5 year salary depends on, that claim must be justified with the first hour of play.
I personally found all the people in this game mind blowingly rude, including the women, who were very ready to result to what amounts to racism against the black lead for coming within 4 feet of them on a street corner.
Work on your review skills Gamespot, your salary depends on it.
London would be great, but you would lose all the humour. What makes GTA so funny is Rockstar are well up to pulling away that syrup coated veneer of so called history taught in American primary schools.
The next one has to be Vice City on next gen, and it needs to have half the Carribean islands In it for smuggling, like Assassins Creed Black Flag. It also needs to be back in the 80's.
been playing it for 3 hours, 2 things really stand out.
First the map is nowhere near as big as the internet has been bragging. I very much doubt it matches Skyrim in size.
First mission I had to lose the cops in a car chase and I was literally right round the island in less than 3 minutes.
Second thing that really stands out, the car physics suck big time. They have got rid of the floaty cars of GTA 4 and gone back to that mad toy car twitchy physics of Vice City.
The graphics are def using the engine from LA Noir. it looks ultra crisp and the colour is insanely intense.
ohhh now this is evil temptation, damn you microsoft! Give up my retina ipad 4 with a gazilllion apps available on store, for xbox metro interface - to go-. Oh yes and a plastic keyboard thing.
