Do these classics actually come with some sort of season or is it just another minor extra I'll never be using because I buy F1 games for the season mode. Codemasters is doing some good things but they really should have some focus. They expect a multitude of shallow additions to grasp the interest of people who aren't interested in formulas?
Since 2012 was never finished and was left in an unusable state for much of its life, I assume 2013 will be freely available (for those who purchased 2012).
holy crap!!!is that danny setting the laptimes hisself?????? not bad mate...hahaa...not bad at all. But yea, kinda agree with @GaryAtkin01 . They could have expanded the game a bit on the management side of things, and kinda kept the retro as a seaparate game in itself?..Still, sweet looking and authentic as ever. GJ Codemasters!!!
I love F1, but I really struggle to get into the F1 games, I'll do a few races but, I just can't get to the end of a season any more.
Personally, I think the retro cars are a waste of development time. I think they could expand on the F1 experience significantly by introducing some elements of team management such as designing your own car, taking a team from the back of the grid to a front runner, introduce telemetry for those who love data etc.
The game looks good, but as with most yearly releases, it's mostly the same old same old!
what is this 25 frames per second? herky jerky camera work's making me sick. pff. the monaco track didn't look like that when those cars raced on it. cm just put old cars on the new track. nice fail.
No classic seasons, just classic tracks, cars and drivers.
I know what you mean. The games are fun but it gets really old, really fast.
While back in the the Formula One games of the 1990's, I played it so much that I actually repeated seasons while playing on the Full Race settings.
Those were the days... with Murray Walker commentating too, good times. :)
@GaryAtkin01 cm should just stick with rally if they're going to use the ego engine. It's no good with a lots of cars on track. I'm waiting to read the cm forums to see whether they've kept the same problems and just added a coat of paint. A week 1 patch is almost a certainty i'm afraid.
@mucking_foron Yea the framerate on our player is locked. We'll have the 60 FPS player that's currently running on Giant Bomb once the new site launches.
An inpiring story between Lauda and Hunt tho
@GSGuy321 get ready for a softkock experience.
Proper PC sims like GTR Evolution, Game Stock Car etc work best on G27.
@Tixylixx There is a Moto GP game available on Steam - unless by 'they' you mean CodeMasters
@mucking_foron I didn't check that closely in the video tbh.
I'm holding off getting it myself. I enjoyed 2012 in spite of its bugs and frame-rate issues but I see little reason to update to 2013 from all of the preview footage I've seen.
Plus the fact that this isn't next gen has kind of turned me off it a bit, I was looking forward to some next gen F1.
I think he means a propper film not a documentary
