For $15 and how unique everyone is (yes, even the mimic character. Her moves were reanimated that looked like other characters moves, and her specials are from older concept art that wasn't use in the final character designs.) I don't think the roster size is an issue.

While I agree the point of a FG is the game play and everything, in a cross over...knowing the characters is a bit more important in that sort of game.
And the game is on the wii, which is a completely logical reason to have a distaste for the game. There are pretty much no fighting games on the wii and most fighting game players will have either a PS3 or a 360.
And you really shouldn't be saying that THE POINT IS TO LEARN CHARACTERS. Didn't you have the No Mai No Buy thing?
Nope, I'll still play KOF but Mai is my Main. I just hat it when my main is removed but I'll still play it and it was Maya in SSX but I was willing to play it and learn Alex but in the end, SSX just had too many cons. No multiplayer (rumored update would add it but thats a rumor), No Maya, Not my preferred control method for SSX either. And just because a game is on the wii does not make it logical to dismiss it without even trying it. TvC was a very good game and a real gamer would play a game regardless the console its on. Cla$$ic Controller made it completely playable AND they had a fightstick for the stick fans. There was no reason to downplay TvC like the people did other than them being fanboys of other consoles. Actually that wouldve been easier for them to just admit that they were fanboys and didn't want it because it was on the Wii. But to come up with a lame excuse like nobody knows the characters is BS.Hye guize....you should all go to the PSN and search for Skullgirls...you know...just because.

I'm messing around in tutorial mode right now. Think I might have to practice that mix up tutorial on a daily practice. It's good practice. Moving on to the punishing tutorial now.

Going through the tutorial, since you need to to unlock the training stage...and because I want to see the tutorial.
The tutorial is pretty good.
It goes over normals, specials, supers, all the tag mechanics, how to go about offense, how to defend, how to tech throws, how to tech throws while also defending, and the combo system.
I'm so excited.
The game is awesome! How does everyone else feel? I've only played the demo of course, but it's really fun.

I'm having fun in Tutorial mode so far. Learned from the Throw tutorial that I'm not going to be able to escape from a throw to save my life, literally, lol.
The tutorial is pretty good.

Yeah, I'm really enjoying tutorial mode too. The intermediate tutorials were all pretty amazing. I'll probably come back to them repeatedly to practice some stuff. I'm checking out the combo tutorials now so no comment on them so far.
I skipped the tutorials since I only had a few minutes to play but yeah the boss is really annoying. Takes long to chip away health and has some attacks that day way too much damage. That and she just stands there, can't knock her downKaze_no_Mirai

Cerebella has some pretty crazy grabs, had to take a while to see what I should and should not do around her.

Make Cerebellas assist her far grab (QCB+Throw) and call it when you pushblock.
It'll grab them because of the distance made with the pushblock. Looks koo.

Yeah, she can also quick grab off her light attacks since the hitstun is like nothing.

I've been mostly abusing parasoul's Air.HP that covers a ridiculous amount of space. She's kinda odd to use since her normals seem to be all over, I haven't figured out too much with her but she's fun.
Spent about two hours in training mode in the demo.
I think Filia is pretty good, but I can't wait to try out Parasoul. Might do a Parasoul/Filia team. So yeah, I've decided to buy the full version.

Parasoul's air mobility is pretty eh. I guess she can float around but I'm not seeing the usefulness yet.

And she a meterless cancel from pretty much all of her moves with Light Egret call.
I couldnt stand 2 fights lol.. i guess i suck at fighting games, they get boring really fast for me sigh.. good thing i downloaded the demo or i would have regret it but the visuals are great in this game

Oh really? Didn't know about the meterless thing I did find out about the command overheads though.
im downloading the demo. Ill give it a whirl. 15 bucks is to ritch for my blood for any downloadble game. Going to be waiting for some sales. That is if I enjoy it.

A lot of the features are going to be added in at a later date. The apparent reason for the for no moveset in game is because they a fairly hard to put in, and between good button config (press the button you want and it assigns it where you want. also its at the character select screen) and a move list or maybe better netcode and move list, they chose what they saw as more important. They put the HD PDFs on the site, but its getting a lot of traffic right now so its having trouble connecting.

I'm loving the hitboxes. Last night's stream was my first time seeing them. Almost died and went to heaven, lol.
Considering Skullgirls is being made by a small development studio, prioritizing other things above the movelist is understandable. I think I'll look at the HD PDFs when the traffic dies down. For now, I'll study up on Parasoul's moveset from one of the wikis while I wait.
I can't wait until the frame data is put up. I LOVE reading frame data.
