Actually I have another question. So it would appear that getting a PS3 with a 250 GB hard drive is going to be quite the wait. They said it might be as long as a couple months... but they are getting 120 GB ones in tomorrow. My question is... will that be more than enough for the average gamer. Example... I only plan to get about 4 games or so in the beginning (Exclusives primarily) so being I hear you have to install them to the hard drive... will I still have ample amount of hard drive space left after that. I just don't want to paint myself into a corner by having to uninstall games to play other ones or other problems that might arise. Thank You again for any and all help! :)
I've had a 60GB since January 2007 that I've used for multiplats and exclusives. I currently have 18 PS3 games, 2 PS1 games, 1 PSN game, and I believe about 30 demos ranging from 500-1000 MB in size, and I still have about 8GB of space left over out of the available 55GB (the other 5GB are used for the OS).Actually I have another question. Basically, unless you're planning to store a massive movie collection and download every demo and PSN game in existence, 120GB should be more than enough. As far as I know, most games don't require you to install them on the hard drive, and the few games I know of that require installs take up about 5GB or less.
Yeah 120GB is plenty unless you are gonna be buying movies and storing tons of music, etc.Actually I have another question. I'm sorry if this has already been explained before but I have some questions regarding the controller.
Whats the maximum range within you can use it?
How long does the battery hold and how long does it take to get fully charged?
I walked outside my house and went across the street with the controller for fun one time and my friend inside confirmed that it was still working. You can pretty much play from anywhere inside your house, so don't worry about it. Battery life is a few weeks depending on how often you play and it takes a few hours to recharge.[QUOTE="pineapplethief"]Hi everybody! I'm new on gamespot forums :) I'm going to buy a PS3 very soon, and as I'm planing to use it as a bluray video/audio player too I have a big question about HDMI. If PS3 slim has only one HDMI port: how can I play the HD audio codecs (dolby true hd, dts master, who work only with HDMI connection) if the only HDMI port of the PS3 is being used by the HDTV? I mean if I'd like to experiencie the HD audio & video of bluray (or ps3 games) how can I do it with only one HDMI port? Sorry if my question is silly and confuse, but it's something that worries me before buying the console. Thanks. I'm pretty sure you can plug in your sound system to your TV which should have multiple HDMI ports. The PS3 also has an optical out for optical audio cables so you should have a couple options for your home setup.I'm sorry if this has already been explained before but I have some questions regarding the controller.

Am I missing anything??
You're not going to add a game that's also available for the PSP, right?Pvt_r3dThat would be more appropriate for the PSP forums...
Thank you so much for this information! This will be so helpful to me. I'm trying to figure out what kind of PS3 to buy my bro for his birthday without asking him too much about them and making him suspicious. Now I can refer to this for answers to most of the questions I would need to ask him! Once again, thank you!ThatOddChickThat's exactly the purpose of this FAQ! You're more than welcome! :)
