Don't think one event specifically set it off. France has a huge Muslim population and the Parisian suburbs where some live in are essentially ghettos. They're still involved in the Middle East and North Africa particularly Algeria. A lot of the people going to join ISIS are from France.

I'm going to Vienna for Christmas and have a stop over in Paris. Going to be... interesting to see how security has changed. Last time I was in France it was pretty lax.

Look, I know I'm morning quarterbacking but it was in CNN, in real time, people communicating from inside the Concert Hall saying they were executing people, and these report went on for a long time. They took a lot of time to breach inside the hall, or at least it seems that way.

But hey, I don't know shit. Authorities were under a lot of pressure, responding to multiple attacks. Just horrible.
