Official Metroid Prime 3 Thread (updated 9/1)

UPDATE: MP3 discussion is allowed outside of this thread now. The Gamespot review goes live today! Any and all discussion of the review should take place in this thread, in order to keep the forum from being absolutely bombarded with new topics about it. All other review threads will be locked. Here is a link to the game page for quick reference when the review comes up.

So until the review is posted, let's hear your predictions! We've seen the reviews from other sites, so what do you think Gamespot will emphasize? Will they harp on the controls? Bash the graphics? Give it a 10.0?!??!?! Be teh bias and give it an abysmal 9.0?!?! :P

Just remember to keep your comments civilized. It's okay to praise or criticize the review, but use some tact. And most of all, whatever score the game gets, most of us will be playing it tomorrow anyway. :D

I think it will get a 9.0. And even if it dosen't we can all see that the game is great, and other sites such as IGN and GameTrailers agree that the game is great.If you plan on buying it you won't regret it no matter how bad the review is on this site.

What? The review is up today? That's exciting :).

My GS review prediction though is 8.5. Anything above is an insta buy. Even an 8 or 7 is still a mustbuy.

It either gets 9.0-10 or everyone screams "OMG GS HAETS NINTENDO!!1!"

I'm with you but it's always exciting to see what "official" reviewers say. And everybody else is into it and it's fun. But otherwise it doesn't matter what they give it really.

yes i guess the fun of it is a good reason.....but i'm talking about the people that will make a whining thread about the review even when they know it will be locked...it's not like the Wii needs a great review from GS to be successful which is what all the fanboys should be concerned with anyway.....that being said can't wait until tomorrow to get my copy and post my 2 cents about it

same here. cause ive beaten prime 1 and hunters on part 18 out of 19 on the ign guide for prime 2. so im giong to buy the game anyways. im gonna get it first day. but if i dont have prime 2 done yet ill beat it first then start prime 3

Gamespots gonna give it a 7.0-8.5

But I dont care. They could give it a 1.0 andI'd still getting this game.

Nope I could care less either, however it will only get an 8.5 because they gave bioshock a 9.0 it wont score as high as bioshock because it doesnt look like bioshock.

how come GS is so unorganized. First, their reviews are always late, look at IGN, they were ready and posted theirs on 12:01. Second, there was the graphics card roundup that took a month longer than it should have. and, well I dont have a third, but it doesn't matter, they are delaying this so much!renger6002

The third reason to hate gamespot is the .5 incriments and those button things are horrible.

And yea they are always late for being such a big site.

YES!!! Finally, a metroid sticky!! I guess the forum has been going crazy about prime 3, even system war. Anyways, i will scream like hell if gamespot rates prime 3 higher than gametrailers.

I just hope its not a retelling of TP? the boards were all like ROARARRRRARAFADSFJPOEWATHJAFPOQWJEADJF;A1!!!!!!! LOL i'd be suprised if that happend again tho. I'm so hyped for this game after watching that review tho.

In the event that GS decides to pull that again, this is what will happen:

Everyone is going to flip the **** out, and curse GS, and say how its blasphemy and every other thing. Then some Halo fan boys will decide to do the whole "Hal0 is teh betterzz games j00 n00bz!!!11!1!" And then all hell breaks loose as a massive forum war erupts.

If Gamespot does give a harshly low score, its going to show alot of people just exactly what system GS is really behind.
