@uninspiredcup: I'm not a PC gamer so I'm not aware of the differences, but what part of the service makes Steam better than others like Epic? Less crashes? Customer support? Better interface?
Just never understood why Steam is considered by far the best by a lot of people even though the basic function of launching games is the same?
@Blackened_Halo:lol yeah just as we thought there was finally some good news related to this game, CDPR denies it...
PC version will eventually be a good game after they patch all of the bugs, but this game really isn't groundbreaking by any means. With the horrendous last gen console version that they deceived consumers about by having review embargoes, and with CDPR fans hyping it up to be the best game ever created just set the bar too high that it would be impossible to meet those expectations and set it up for disappointment by a lot of people.
Probably would've been well received without the negative publicity if they were transparent about the last gen versions and not hyping up this game so much (and the multiple development delay debacle didn't help either). It really is a fun solid game, just nothing special.
@dinamo4ever: I'm not the one making any claims so I don't need proof to argue one way or another. Just wondering if you had proof for your claim if you're "pretty sure" about it.
@dinamo4ever: Then how do you explain CDPR having a review embargo, not allowing reviewers to use any gameplay footage other than the ones CDPR provided them with? And they also did not provide review copies for PS4/X1 versions which were not even close to the footage they showed.
If that doesn't seem shady to you, then I don't think there's anything that can convince you that they were hiding broken versions of their product.
I\m pretty sure they told CDPR to release it this year (stocks where down after the last delay) and not they want money? screw them! A bunch of hypocrites!
Do you have proof that it was the investors who told CDPR to release it this year?
@scott_willy: You do realize that CDPR isn't a non-profit organization that just keeps you happy with their games right? Without the investor's money they wouldn't have the funding to make games, and if the company really did hide information from its investors causing them to lose money, then the investors have every right to sue them.
@beachbum: No.MS announced cross gen games(of MS exclusives) would be a thing for the next 1-2 years. Anything past that time period should be the new current gen only
So assuming that this gen will last 7 years again before the next gen consoles come out, for almost 30% of that time we might be playing games held back by last gen if cross gen lasts for 2 years? That doesn't sound very promising...
