I love Battlefield but this "teaser" was lame.

The PS5/XSX only costs $500 which is not much by our standards but if you were to donate that to a country like Somalia or South Sudan, that is more than the average nominal GDP per capita of those countries. You criticize others for how they spend their money, but you think it's ok for you to sit at home playing games when that money can feed a person for an entire year?

@phili878: Then you better sell your TV, games, computer, and any other items that aren't needed for staying alive, and donate all proceeds to fight world hunger. You're not going to say that your gaming and other hobbies are more important than feeding people right? Or are you the "do as I say, not as I do" type of person?

@mooglestar: The new Ratchet game has the rift thing going on that allows you to enter another world instantly without having any loading screens, so it probably needs the fast NVMe SSD and powerful hardware to make that type of gameplay concept possible.

I'm not an expert so not sure how exactly how it will work behind the scenes, but the Digital Foundry video has some good analysis about the game.

@BeefoTheBold: Options are great, but similar to what the article says I hope that they don't adjust the story to a "one size fits all" generic storyline to allow for the gender to be decided by the gamer.

Terrible news. Unless they make a completely separate version for PS4/X1, the PC/PS5/XSX versions will definitely be held back by the limitations of older consoles. Some things like textures and draw distance can be adjusted, but game designs like massive destructible buildings cannot be easily scaled so will be limited to whatever the PS4/X1 can handle.

Backwards compatibility is great except for in these situations where games will be made to run on last gen consoles to increase revenue.

This game is awesome but the save system is terrible and really makes the game feel like a chore. I understand that some people like this style with no mid-run save options, but they should at least add a save option for those who don't have time to do a full run every time (and no, more options doesn't ruin the game for anyone who prefer not to use it).

You can defend this style of game all you want, but something is definitely wrong if the developer needs to warn you about a simple update patch messing up your gaming.

@Thanatos2k: That's so true. I like my XSX too but the truth is that almost everything on the Xbox can be played on PC (with higher settings options and mods too) and I only bought the XSX because I can't afford a great PC right now.

PS and Switch have exclusives that make them unique, but Xbox is nothing more than a poor man's option to play games that are also on PC. The specs of XSX is fantastic considering it's only $500, but anyone with a bigger budget has no reason to buy it.

How is "hundreds of thousands" even close to "a vast majority" when there have been over 6 million units sold?
