@Thanatos2k: Agreed. The Switch is becoming less appealing, at least for me personally.

Not that many exclusive games, and low spec hardware that doesn't come close to the performance of even the original PS4 and Xbox One released 7 years ago so most multi-plat games don't look very good, and with the PS5/XSX being released the gap in graphics will become even larger unless they release a Switch Pro version.

The portability aspect made up for the weak hardware, but with the pandemic I'm home 99% of the time now so it's become pointless. Now it's just a device I use to play the occasional exclusive games, but mostly collects dust.

@CBTDesigner: Well by that logic I guess you'll be stuck with your Xbox One for the rest of your life since managing your library of old Xbox games isn't going to get any easier when the next generation of consoles come out in 7-8 years.

The real question though is why would you want to go through all of these steps to play this broken game right now... Definitely need to wait for several patches in the next few months to fully enjoy it.

@zander80: Why would they care to spend extra time and money to implement a verification system?

Scalpers using bots pay money too, and for retailers $500 in revenue is $500 regardless of if they get it from a regular customer or a scalper using a bot.

@otherbarry: It still feels like OP's comment was attempting to redirect the attention and blame from the developers to the consumers for "getting angry".

If CDPR set more realistic deadlines and managed the project professionally so that they didn't need to delay it multiple times, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. With multiple delays, lying about "no crunch culture", and still releasing a buggy mess of a game, there's simply no excuse.

@Elisson357: There are major performance issues. There's just no way that the PS4/X1 which were released 7 years ago can run this game smoothly.

The PS4/X1 version has so many downgrades compared to the PC version such as lower resolution, terrible textures, no ray tracing, less NPCs/cars in the city etc. Even with all of these downgrades, it still suffers from low FPS (some scenes run below 20 FPS which looks choppy and horrible).

Definitely play it on PC or wait for the PS5/XSX upgrade.

@Jarrkha: If it's that big of a deal to you that you're just going to keep whining about it, then don't access the internet during the week before the release date. Simple as that.

@maustin5: Well maybe you should take your genius idea to Sony and Microsoft, tell them that their expertise in the industry is worthless, and maybe they'll hire you as their new CEO. Let us know how it works out lol

@maustin5: Because that's not the business model for this industry. Sony and Microsoft actually sell the consoles at a loss so that many people can buy it, and then make a profit on the software and services. There's a complex sweet spot for pricing where the company doesn't take too much of a loss, and it being affordable to the average consumer so that they buy it and continue to pay for games and subscriptions afterwards.

Trust me, their financial analysts and marketing teams have done a lot more research than we have to come up with this pricing and business model.

@wahsobe: I cringed at how hard you tried to make it a PS vs Xbox comment.
