@hardwenzen: nothing touches 2077 on PC right now. It's not even close. Put your on rails peasant console away. The lighting in those screenshots is flatter than my chest.

You have to see Cyperbunk on PC with all its bells and whistles enabled (including HDR) to understand just how far this game is technically. You don't agree with me, argue with DF.

Never understood console obsession with smeary lighting and unrealistic art design. Sure it looks good in screenshots but in game it's terrible. Flip for 2077, which has a lot of volumetric effects going on that make things look blurry at low resolutions or in compressed images.

@tormentos: I'd actually suspect they're about the same. Cyberpunk hits the CPU really hard, I had an average of 90% utilization across 8 cores and 16 threads. Xbox One does have the faster CPU.

This game is well optimized for what it is and what it does. It's not meant for last gen hardware and I think people who have those consoles should have tempered their expectations and been happy CDPR spent any time tying their masterpiece to 12 year old hardware.

@Grey_Eyed_Elf: I own two 1080 Ti's and I'm jazzed. The theoretical performance of two 1080 Ti's is still less than the actual performance of a single 3080.

Blows my mind, I'm so hyped.

People cross shopping used 2080 Tis are not the same people who would just suddenly decide to buy a console. It's not the same market.

Nvidia wipes their ass with the company that designs and builds the console graphics solutions. Did the peasants really believe they had a chance.

Bow before your new God. Happens every generation and every year.

After seeing H:ZD on computer I'm scoffing that anything on PlayStation could be considered a "graphics king".

The third person camera angles in these games (this one, Last of Us, HZD) hide lower res texture work, texture filtering, poor aliasing at distance with plenty of artifacts, and generally just poor distance detail. Sometimes I wonder if console kids just mistake bloom and motion blur for good graphics.

@NathanDrakeSwag: now you're comparing a wagyu steak too a Big Mac.

Sure I'll eat the Big Mac, it's cheap. Ain't no waguy steak though.

I think it's about time we burry the Halo franchise. It's selling on name alone. Wonderful franchise, but let's leave it good while we can and come back to it later.

@rzxv04: DLSS is AI based and Nvidia has AI specific compute units with tons of training.

I really don't see how consoles are going to implement anything of the sort. Might as well go checkerboard.

Consoles won't have anything like proper DLSS. They don't have tensor cores.
