@ Doolz2024 and eveyone else too--

That is some awesome advise! In fact lets kick it up a notch. Hand out assault rifles and grenades to your friends and random strangers (I hear those are easy to get in Virginia;))and tell them to shoot at you! That'll teach ya how to find cover and defend yourselfreal quick!

@ dwilles-

I really liked Dark Sector. It definitely had its flaws, like the plot, the weapon upgrade system, the multiplayer (the picture I'm painting ain't so bright huh?) I just loved the visuals and that freaking glaive! Every game should have a glaive! LBP and Tiger Woods '10 should have a glaive! Anyway

Best: KZ2 Worst: Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway

Uh-um (clears throat)- If I may interject for a moment. I think you should all get over your ultra-sensitive ego's (Especially you Canadian's!) and all shut up. None of you, and I repeat for clarity so anyone with reading or math deficiencies [actually the repeat just for showing off;), none of you KNOW precisely how long a repair and replacementWILL take. So in the interest of answering the man's question, I think you guy's ought to find another room~ The "Canada is Amazing" board might serve your function well?

Likewise, I clicked a few buttons and got this...

All you guys are mad funny btw. But honestly, what about the intangible things you learn from gaming? Besides motor skills and reading comprehension- gaming has taught me loads of really important things that i think EVERYONE should know!

  • Life Force (NES) Don't fly my spaceship into a dragon's mouth. Just don't do that.
  • Sonic (Genesis) Always look for bubbles when underwater for extended periods.
  • Marv. vs Capcom 2 (PS2) Do not fight Cyclops. Its just a bad idea.
  • Mirrors Edge (PS3,XB360,PC) DO NOT let your sister become a police officer! I love my sisters, but jump off the Sears Tower and land on top off the Hyatt Center for ya?,
  • And lastly... Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3, XB360,PC) Seriously, I have the utmost respect for any citizenwho chooses tomake that sacrifice- and to join the service to protect and uphold the rights and freedoms we enjoy, and take for granted everyday. And to be completely honest, I find myself ashamed at times to enjoy playing a game like MW or KZ2, that entertains us by depicting (and really, exploiting) what I personally find to be a barbaric and arguably unchangeable phenomenon ofour human society (past and present) But from playing these games and learning about our history, I've learned that warfare is something I desperately want to avoid. Call me coward but, now more so than before even, it is imperative that we build relationships, instead of destroy them. Open a dialogue with our allies and our enemies as to how we can share this planet in a peaceful and cooperative manner. Because if we don't, if YOU don't we might as well resign not only ourselves but our entire species to the inevitable. Life is never as precious as when it is truly challenged is one way you might care to think about it. But the truth is, that statement is wrong. Life is always precious. We've just never learned or forget to remember to give a ****

That's some bs, huh. Ibelieve that if you do have an external memory source however, you can plug that in and in the save screen [the Sony one, where the background gets dimmed and you see the Hard Drive symbol w/ how much space you have left] at that screen, if you have an external memory card plugged in, its possible that the PS3 will allow you to save to whatever storage device is connected and recognized. From there you just selectwhatever external memory source you've plugged in(i.e. Memory Stick, Flash Drive, SD Card, USB Flash Drive- whatever you got) and voila. Once again I'm not completely sure if that will work. I knowthatifI try to save a picture, theme, song or videofrom theinternet I can select the storage device of my liking as long as one is connected and recognized. Regardless, find an externbal memory source you can use(the PS3 is really versatile with that respect) and play around. Copy the original file[from theXMB, go to the Game category-Saved Data Utility (just scroll up to find it)-Press Triangle on the file-Copy it to that external source you plugged in] You'll now have a copy and can mess around the original all you like. and i hope you guys don't take the elaboration the wrongway. just wanted to be thorough.

The advantage to waiting till at least April-May is that it's expected, and arguably necessary, that Sony will reduce the price of the PS3. Wait. Get a new system and just keep saving loot because you're going to want an a$$ ton of games and downloadable content as well as that bigger HDD. Good luck buddy. You're going to love it on our side!

He's got a point. But honestly people, games keep getting better and better. And my taste and pickyness, level of patience and attitude toward "sloppyness" (relative to me of course) only keep expanding with my expectations. I own both SF4 & COD:WAW. Both are sub-par in my opinion and have room for improvement in the very-hard-to-put-your-finger-on "fun factor" category. In my opinion at least ROOT has a valid argument, but I wouldn'y have scored either of these games higher than a 8.9 or lower than a 8.8... Hit me back if you feel any different.

i would love to see the game in first person. it would have full on gore and everything. and killer finishing moves from the movie. ah man!!! i would love to play it. how about you? supersnake930
1st person? Are u nuts? 1st person would ruin the entire perspective the movie did such an awesome job of rendering. No, the only things that would work for this game would be a low to mid height angle 3rd person perspective with the main character taking up about 3/5 of the bottom of the screen. That and some really cool slow-mo scenes where the character is even larger but with a side scrolling perspective. But hey, that's just my opinion.

Release info on Home would be nice, but in conjunction with the release of a new 120Gb SKU bundled with the DualShock 3, a new price point for the 40Gb and the release of the in-game XMB would be huge.

But a game I haven't heard of since E3, that I've been waiting for since the release of its predecessor, is Killzone 2. That game is either gonna bomb, or be in the top 5 for '08.

Man, that last one was really not concise at all huh:P

But back to the matter at hand, I think Sony made the wisest possible decision. They released a system with incredible disc storage capabilities. They sweetened that deal with the capability to swap the hard-drive. A diverse and ever-growing online suite with RemotePlay PSP connectivity, the networking and online community forum that will be HOME, LocationFree TV capability, an already incredible line-up of downloadable content and games ready to go now, oh and did I forgot to mention that it's free of charge? Sony's also got some incredible first-party games and franchises to aid its system's longevity. Multi-million dollar IP's like Socom, Gran Turismo, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Killzone, Motorstorm and Resistance and SingStar have me salivating at my keyboard right now. You too I bet if you have a PS3. 1080p, wireless internet adaptor, multiple memorycard-reader, blue tooth enable connectivity for controller/headsets and who knows what else... as well as the fiscal backing of a corporate entity as internationally known and proven as Sony?, dude even at the expense of sounding like a fan-man, [that's right I said it] they had me sold at my first look at the spec-sheet. Anybody who doesn't help support a company that helped make gaming what it is today [Nintendo included, even if we hate the Wii] is just limiting their horizons. And it only becomes a sadder world when we all choose to limit ourselves.
