I didnt realize how many people prefer single player over multiplayer. I love both but it really shocks me to see the majority of responses support single player over multiplayer...

MMOs are the dominant genres in gaming today IMO...but It seems that not to many games can make a solid multiplayer game on CONSOLES aside from FPS games.

Me and my friend LOVE the demos, and we're still gonna get it. So why are reviewers so uptight about it? Dont always trust the reviews.

Nah, I think thats coz you tried the multiplayer bit...which the reviewer said was okay. However, the single player campaign mode and AI in general was bad...two features which you didn't get to try out in the demo :P

this is why i believe games should be reviewed in 2 seperate scores.... the multiplayer aspect and the single player aspect...because everyone plays games for different reasons....some lone wolf it...others pack hunt...

also do you feel reviewers pay as much attention to detail to multiplayer or treat it as extra topping to the cake?

with that in mind...we live in the era of ONline gaming... is multiplayer JUST an Extra feature anymore????

i know people that play games ONLY for Mp and likewise for Sp.

I play for both.

whats your thoughts.

in other words leave your ps3 on before you go to sleep and the auto turn off feature of the ps3 will leave you with a fully charged mic when you awake. no down time without a mic at all

i just feel that its the reviewers duty to tell us the quality of each. After all....the research we find (in all due respect to the poster above)....IS THE reviews... and most reviews don't shed an even amount of light on the quality of each...

maybe they will mention some things in mp...but they don't go in to great detail..

Example: they won't mention how horrible a lobby is...like in Bad company 2...there are so many different screens to go through just to play with a friend instead of ONE button.

HERES A TRICK...

1) set your ps3 to auto turn off after an HOUR in the settings

2) charge your mic at the ps3 menu screen (or any other screen just make sure ur ps3 is on)

3) go to sleep.

4) when you wake up you ps3 would have charged your mic AND AUTO-TURNED OFF after an hour to save electricity

works everytime for me and its always fully charged. GOOD LUCk!

The single player is Amazing and the vocals and detail in conversations throughout the entire story never die down. Though I didn't find the game being repetitive....

it is possible to feel that way if you dont like "FETCH" Games...(heres the quest....go get it and return here etc....)

as for the multiplayer...... veryyyy misleading videos...led to my huge disappointment in the online experience with RDR....so big of a world...so little to do online.

i hate to say it but i quit on this game. This game didnt live up to the legendary ff7 but it did show signs of greatness at times. Up until the 12th chapter everything was going smooth for me. It was when they opened the world up and put you in GRIND mode that I quit at. If i'm going to put hours upon hours grinding in a game id rather be playing an MMO.

I felt like the grind was a cheap way to keep people hooked into the single player. WHen it feels like a grind...the game suffers.

FF7 was so good, the story so engaging, that it never felt like a grind.

FF13 on the other hand... almost PLays itself in a way............. just didnt feel like i control my characters as much as the old FF10 and under styles
