[QUOTE="tagyhag"]

[QUOTE="Cranler"] Why couldnt Sony work with devs to implement vr support just like Nvidia works with devs for physx?Cranler

Oh they definitely can, but that's the thing, it's up to them. The PC has no overlord, if anyone wants to make a game work for the Rift they can. I can guarantee you the Rift will have more supported titles at launch due to the easy nature of the PC.

Heck, there's already programs that help you make games compatible with the Rift.

Now if this VR isn't just for PS4....That would be a different scenario.

The Sony overlords would obviously want as many games supported as possible though. I agree that Occulus will have more support at launch since they can add support to lots of old games.

there is a small problem with those games that are retrofitted via mods, it doesn't work all that well unlike games that have native mod support. One example is Skyrim, the mod just changes the mouse control over to the rift. So its like you got two arms strapped to your head while you are looking around:D

[QUOTE="clyde46"]The Rift will be better. clyde46

Why?

trolling or just going into PC defence mode?:P

(I have one, and loving it despite the low resolution on the devkit)

Has more potentioal. Sony's offering is limited to Sony platforms while the Rift can be supported by both PC and consoles (potentially)

dont see why they would be limited to only Sony platforms.. but we have to wait and see:)

[QUOTE="lx_theo"] You seem to be assuming they just started development on this recently. The fact that they were ready to unveil it means they are well along. Try again.AdrianWerner

I;m assuming their technology is inferior to OR (which is rather obvious) and they they started developing it later than OR. And if they are revealing it only now it's most likely good year before being ready to launch. But keep your hopes up.

thats not interly true... Sony have allready made a comersial headmounted display, have better access to oled tech and have used almost 1:1 motion controls in ther sixaxis controller. They already have most of the tech needed in house and could even do positional tracking with help of the eye camera

[QUOTE="lx_theo"][QUOTE="percech"] Like I said, Sony noticed the hype and are trying to attain it by making their own crummy version. Please learn to read, dumbass. :)percech
 So?

Exactly, now go away you horrible fanboy. You have an excuse for everything Sony does. :)

[QUOTE="RR360DD"][QUOTE="DrTrafalgarLaw"][QUOTE="killerfist"] lol alot of (online)retailers here in NL were sold out before I heard.

I mean, who can blame them? why would I preorder 9 months in advance if a superior console comes out in just two months? We remain committed to launching Xbox One in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, as soon as possible in 2014. Does not strike me with confidence, could be July 2014 with that vague statement. :? This all points to a rushed launch and yield issues, so they picked their markets and decided to treat everyone else as second-class fans.

Some people deserve to be treated as second-class  #dealwithit

that sentence seems a little racist.. don't know if its to vague to be reported on, but i would be careful if I where you;)
