nothing for me this year. I still like to think that my 980 SLI from last year is still not outdated. Sooo itching to grab a 1080 for my Vive though...

I'm trying not to be hyped. Saw it at Pax last year and wasn't too thrill about the framerate. That might have been on XB1, but the Platinum demo on the ps4 also didn't run that impressively neither... I'm thinking about holding to see if there's PC version... But I'm a big fan so I would surprise myself if I don't buy it day one on the PS4.

MS is really trying to do good this gen. It's funny how companies act when they are the underdog.

Yep. They try harder and I appreciate that. Meanwhile Sony is just sitting around going well we got sales no need to do anything else.

They try so hard because they losing badly ... They havent told how many X1s being sold by now , even Nintendo did with Wii U but not MS. Imagine how nasty things are for them ... They trying literally everything by now and that good for X1 fans and gamers in general.

Sony is not in need to give free games or cut prices over and over again etc ... If X1 was in PS4s position dont tell me you beleive by any means you'd had those deals !

Ummm okay...and when they try hard the consumer wins. I could give two rats buttswho sells what or who makes more money. I care about what I can buy and the deals I can get. But if you're playing system wars then uhh yeah you can sit there and ummm play all those amazing sales on the PS4.

Yeah , when Sony wins consumer wins as well it seems.

Even from pre-orders , PS4 was winning HARD X1. That right there was the main reason why X1 reversed those idiotic policies. Its because X1 losing worldwide really bad that you getting all those fancy cut prices , cupons , free games , free online , free bundles etc etc ....

Why you think you getting all those things so early if it isnt for PS4s success ? So at least say thnx to Sony for that ! It made things nasty for MS and X1 so youll be getting all what you caring about ... Deals. And yes , you getting the best deals and the main reason ? PS4s amazing sales that is. So stop being so hypocrite about it and move on.

the biggest mistake that M$ did was they went first on the "idiotic policies" announcement. That and Don Mattrick.

Sounds like a great service on paper like OnLive now known as OffLive. But if it includes Steam key then I don't see a harm in trying it out. Hope there's a free trial.

@Juub1990: yeah I know. It's absolutely mind boggling. I guess I'm just not sure what people refer to as "max settings" in GTAV. In Far Cry 4, I could crank everything up to max settings in 1080p and run absolutely perfect. And when I say max settings, I mean you can't really get any more "max" than this unless you mess with the console settings. I'm also running windows 8.1. Don't know if that makes any difference.

@Juub1990: yeah I guess a lot of people here have some crazy rigs to be ale to run GTAV at "max out" settings at 100fps and over 1080p. I have an i7 4770k, a 980gtx with 16gb ram SSD etc and only able to run around 35-45 on average in the bench mark test. My settings are pretty high but it's not "maxed out" at 1080p. I thought I paid some pretty pennies ($2000+) to build a fairly high end rig but I guess it's not enough.

But seriously though, what kind of rigs you guys have for that buttery smooth fps at 1080p+ at "max out" settings? I'm curious.

Turn off MSAA, Reflection MSAA, and set Shadow Quality to high. Soft Shadows to softest, not the Nvidia PCSS setting. You can set reflection quality to high too for more frames. People have also recommended setting Grass Quality to Very High.

With a mix of those settings, at 1920x1200, I get 60-80 FPS everywhere. i7 3770k @4.2GHz, GTX 970.

Yeah I know I could afford to lower some settings. I just kind of expected my setups to run a little better based on what others have said about them running on "max settings" at higher resolutions with better framerates than what I'm running. That's all.
