I would say I am. I haven't beaten an FF game since 12. Pretty sad, but I'm hoping this will bring us back to the good ol' days. What about you,SW? What are you thinking?

Nope. The demo sucked and nothing shown since makes it seem like the gameplay will be improved. Plus the main 4 characters are among the worst I've ever seen in a game.

The demo is apparently a prototype from two years ago. The developers have said they've made improvements since then. So we'll just have to wait and see.
I was... Not quite so much now. What I've seen has me Very worried. I hope it turns out good though.
No. Never was.

If this is true, then they have shot themselves in the foot for a lot of people who might have been on the fence. They were extremely poor representations of the game, and shed a really negative light on it.
that last demo where you were a deer hitting things with your antlers at 15-20 FPS kinda made me lose some interest did you play that demo ? It didn't feel smooth either felt like my attacks had some sort of delay to them unlike kingdom heart games or other action rpgs.
i think scalebound looks better honestly now.
Never was to begin with, even back when I was hyped for FFXIII.
Always had a hunch that VSXIII FFXV would be lame from the get go. SE just keeps adding fuel to the fire.
The only FF that I'm mildly looking forward to is FFXII remaster. Even World of Final Fantasy looks more appealing than XV at this point.
Trust me though, I'd love to be wrong. I'd love for FFXV to be a good, or even great game.
Yup, can't wait for another JRPG that wanna be GoW to flop and put another nail in the coffin of dying JRPG genre.
no, not one bit, and there's a lot coming out the next few months to keep me busy, depending on what I see when it releases and what others say I may reconsider
I don't hate JRPGs, I'm really excited for Persona 5... well, less excited knowing I have to wait until 2017, but I'll be more excited the closer and closer we get
@SolidGame_basic: The only time i was a bit of hyped with FF15 was when i heard in its very early stages that will be open world and wont follow the FF12/13 formula etc.
Then i saw the game live and i was like ... WTF am i watching ? An emo , 2016 like band in a futuristic , medieval like world killing sheep and ride chocobos ? Most anticlimatic crap i ever watched in any FF game. The world also seems dull , the fighting system nothing i havent seen before ... I mean .. wtf is left to be hyped for ? Maybe story !
To me , FF15 is a rent to play or sales buy . I dont care if it ends up an 10/10 , this game looks and plays like a 7-8/10 from all demos ive seen and i dont think thatll change on release.
Yes.
I will be playing in "Wait Mode" the entire time... to make it actually feel like it is more than a typical console hack n slash where you press 2 buttons and feel like a god.
There seems to be a good ammount of variety in the gameplay, from platforming (demo), Shadow of the colluses style fights, and hunting of prey in unique ways other tahn "walk up to us, and kill it with the same few attacks".
Open world, mmo/skyrim style.
I have issues with it, but I feel it will be a solid game. I might wait for the PC version.
@SolidGame_basic:
Hyped? No, not even remotely close. Looking more forward to Final Fantasy VII Remake, I am. Because crappy Final Fantasy games, Square Enix makes.

You realise the FF7 remake, is made by the same guys making FF15 ... and it has similar gameplay right?
@MBirdy88:
Yeah but it'll work out cuz it's on a storyline and world made by the original Squaresoft! That and I've been dying for an FF7 Remake for AGES...
**** no.
I like beat em ups, and more importantly ones with depth to their gameplay. Both demos of FF15's combat were basura, and no amount of "it's a rpg" or whatever wank people will use, eliminates the fact that the game is using beat-em up principles for its combat engine, and said engine is limp, unsatisfying, and the enemy animations take away all the impact. And unlike say The Witcher 3 (which also has a combat engine I'm not fond of), the setting, story, and characters aren't going to be particularly good, because Final Fantasy's legacy is a bunch of stupid stories and shitty characters for those of us that don't subscribe to the "good enough for video games" mantra that validates the leaning towers of tripe that were the older final fantasy games.
I forgot who it was, but someone showed a demo of one dude making a game in Unreal Engine 4 on his own, and that combat engine looked far more satisfying to play since the guy actually put effort into things like the game feel. One asshole who hasn't been making games for a living understood that, but one of the alleged greatest gaming companies ever can't fucking grasp that? Yeah **** off.
I was hyped for it back in 2007. Nearly 10 years ago but have not bothered with it at all even with the demos. I'll wait and see.
I won't have my hopes up but I hope it surprises me.

Probably. It seems like the demo has killed a lot of enthusiasm for the game. Whatever improvements they've made since, they should've waited for those improvements to be made before releasing a demo, instead of releasing a prototype from two years ago. That's a bad way to promote a game.
Yes I am, though my hype died a little and now that I invested in a high end rig I'm actually waiting for the PC version, whenever that comes out.
