That's a realtek driver issue, happened when i got the game on my old pc, it's not that hard to fix if you just search up about it, can't remember exactly how.

I haven't actually got round to playing any hitmans yet (even though imve got them on steam), is there an overarching story that needs to be known to play absolution or will it be fine just going straight in with this one?

Thanks for the input guys. The place i bought it from allows returns for any reason for 14 days after purchase, tomorrow is the 13th day so i'm just gonna send it back and get a different one.

I just got a new sapphire hd 7950 vapor x. I've so far played witcher 2, bulletstorm and run Heaven benchmark. I'm getting occassional artifacts appearing randomly, they don't happen very often and it doesn't ruin playing the game but i'd rather not have them. Are these caused by driver issues or could it be a hardware thing?

Been like this for a while now, just can't download anything, it either pauses/suspends the download by itself or says downloading 0 bytes. Occassionally it will download like 100kb then stop again. I've tried changing download region to no avail.

Steam had already been causing trouble recently as it kept having problems when trying to update and i couldn't even launch it, and now this.

Anyone experiencing anything similar?

I just purchased Assassin's creed brotherhood during the current sale on steam, but when I hook the xbox 360 controller up it appears the game lacks any support for the controller? please tell me this isn't the case..... ubisoft games on pc seem to lack effort......

Totalgym9000

I played the whole thing with a controller...AC 2 as well. So be assured it's definitely supported.

Why, what was wrong with it?

7950 is better price for performance, but if you want a 660ti I'd go with the Gigabyte.

Postmortem123

Majority of games would suddenly just black screen or crash to solid vertical stripes. Spent four months trying to solve it and there's nothing, other people with the same issue haven't found a solution. I want the 7950 now cos it's clearly better but if it were to be some sort of incompatibility between amd and my other components (not sure if that's possible) and it didn't work again the i'd be screwed.

That's a memory problem I think. My 5870 had it.

What do you reckon the chances of it happening again with a 7950 are?

neither, go with the radeon 7950, a much better buy. I prefer sapphire but the other brand I also trust is XFX. Ive heard good things about all the radeon brands except for possibly powercolour

The thing is i just had a terrible experience with an AMD card, the 7850, basically didn't work with two computers and couldn't get it replaced because it wasn't a hardware fault, took 4 months and there isn't fixable. So i'm very very wary of buying an AMD card.
