Probably because DMC 4 special edition (i'm guessing) didn't sell well at all, but they'll probably do it again in 5+ years when it seems like a fresh idea gain.
MS sure does like to brag a lot about something that's free for windows 7 and up owners. But I will say that I think windows 10 is fantastic though, and I HATED windows 8 and the whole metro UI and 8.1 was a little better.
Judging from all the indie games i see on the steam front page I see every day, I think I'm all set. I understand that you can't see the games ahead of time so you can treat like a sale and then unsubscribe until the next good collection comes out, but i don't want to end up with a visual novel (no offense visual novel fans) or some tacky looking 8 bit style game I'll never play. I'm not saying this is a bad idea though for people who like to waste money, it could have a good but it's not for me.

You go that right. I still remember Black Mesa that was supposed to be released as a full version free mod and then they finally teased people about making it a premium game on steam only to come out as early access without zen a year ago and there's still no information on it. It looks like they knew it would take years to make and they wanna make as much money as possible from early access.
Good. It's the least he can do for releasing 3 games in a span of months without any updates to any of his games whatsoever. So if you spend the money on these games and it doesn't work on a future os, then tough luck. I have a lot of respect for the Tiny Wings developer, who added free content and updates years after his game came out.
Nintendo is the king of revisions and milking games. Donkey Kong Country has been on almost every single nintendo portable. And they wanted to remake Link to the Past on the 3DS (maybe that's a good thing) before the developers decided they wanted to make a sequel instead.
