Infamous was good, but it was a little short of really blowing me away after the initial wow factor of a next gen game. I forgot about Mario Kart 8 which is a great game, but i'm really disappointed that they took out the battle mode tracks.

@Macutchi: Walking Dead Season 2 and Wolf Among us were both excellent experiences, but I don't consider them games. Yeah they are interactive, but I felt like I was watching a story and pressing different buttons to move forward but never felt like I was actually playing a game.

With the high amount of hype and expectations I've had for a lot of these games, I'm really disappointed. Titantfall, Watch Dogs, Destiny, Civ Beyond Earth and now Sunset Overdrive (I know this got great reviews but I find it repetitive!) I'm starting to think that I don't like games anymore! I'd have to say the best game I've played this year is either Bayonetta 2, Shadows of Mordor and Fantasy Life. Forza Horizons 2 is fun, but racing games are all generally the same to me and never blow me away. What are your pick or picks for GOTY?

Agreed. But gamestop and other retailers are pushing publishers for better exclusives harder than ever in return for preorders. People will always preorder games no matter what, and that's their choice.
