for KOTOR you should explain that it is Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic. But it needs 2.0 GHz and 256 RAM. MX card should do the trick.

You cannot do that with that Windows, it won't work.

All you have to do is to flash your BIOS so you can run SATA2 as SATA.

And why you have no way getting drivers on it? You can install drivers during Windows Setup(before copying setup files, you have to press a button, F6 was in WinXP, and insert the floppy in)

If you mean that the HDD cannot be found in installation procedure of any OS, you have to install drivers before the setup.

SATA goes IDE Channel 2 and 3 Master. So the thing that you cannot boot is conneted with that. Your bioshave to be configured to run SATA as IDE Channel 2/3 Master(no slave for SATA because 1 cable=1 device!).

Then you have your HDD connected successfully! Make sure that the HDD runs properly, and have to be shown in bios. Set up First Boot Device to be Hard-Disk.

...and make sure your HDD is not f***ed up!

If still got the problem, write again.
