@McGuirex3: until they stop making a profit.. Why would any dev stop make a game thats making them money, they aren't losing money...which alot of dev houses are doing that why the big guys are buying them up... Video games business is too costly to just throw away a profitable franchise...
The problem with CoD isn't so much the franchise but its the genre that its limited to.. There's just so much ways you can kill a person in the shooter genre
@davidsworld3: Not really.... the masses want a game that's fun, and don't take alot of thinking behind it, because after all they don't want gaming to feel like a second job.
Its not a age thing at all, as most of the gaming demographic get older most just want mindless fun and the popular FPS provide that, because the responsibilities outside gaming has increase.. RPGs, and other deep story games etc, might never ever sell well like the popular FPS or Action titles (like GTA) because they ask too much time dedication which most gamers are lacking... Unlike FPS where you jump in shoot some stuff to relieve stress, and done...
From Headline "costs and sales of pachinko machine negatively impact profitability".... ssshhh don't let konami know that, they swear the future of there business lies in mobile and pachinko machines..
@emprahtoddler: so diversify is bad? Tell Microsoft to stop selling Windows OS etc, and tell Sony to stop doing movies/selling TV, phones etc... If Saga had diversify maybe just maybe they would still be in the console business..
@berserker66666: but its true....IT IS in-game footage, persons just aren't comprehending what they read.. sad really
They automatically think in-game footage is a representative of in-game graphics... Remember for in-game footage you can add all the bells and whistles that a system can do, but when it comes to playing you cut down those bells and whistle...
@hmoobpaladin: your making no sense... your not a fan of always online so you won't buy it now... but you'll buy it when the price drops... Just so you know, when the price drop it will still have always on-line, so how about you not but it at all since the always online seems to be whats bugging you..
