depends on the phone

if it is not a smart phone (like mine) no not really, it can be quite annoying at times

but if it is a smart phone then the touch screen gives it endless possiblities because each spot on the screen can be used for something different depending on what you are using it for instead of have designated buttons that can only do one or two functions

so i am going to go with a YES

I am 17 and I have had a phone since I was 14, and honestly, I could not live without it. I use it to keep in touch with my friends and my parents call me whenever they need to know where I am at. I don't think kids under 12 should have one because I don't see a point, but anyone in Junior High and older deffinitly need one.
