My answer was the last choice, but cross out that "or maybe I do" part...yentlequibleI only put that for people who do regret it. Just trying to fill in all the possibilities :P
I had one like 3 months ago, i was gona ask this girl i liked, but this other girl i liked asked me. so i dont really know what to say
i didn't go to my school's prom, but i went to the prom of a school near me. this is how it went down. my friend texts me and she says:
her - "i have a question, but it might sound kind of weird."
me - "what is it?"
her - "me and a group of people are going to lassiter's (the school) prom and my friend needs a date. would you be hers? she has a big rack btw."
and that was enough to make me wanna go :P
i figured that if i was going to be going to the prom with her, i should get to know her and crap, so we started talking, i started to develop feelings for her, and she said she did for me too, and when we were saying bye after hanging out, i had the opportunity to kiss her, but i didn't take it cause i figured "oh well, i'll just kiss her next time," but there wasn't a ****ing next time until prom. then she got all weird on me and basically some other bull****. but i'm glad it didn't work out, 'cause from what i heard, she's a bad kisser and doesn't do anything below the neck sooo..
I didn't go and I don't feel bad that I didn't. I hated school dances, and other school run activities.
Yeah i went to mine last year with my girlfriend. It was very meh. At first she didnt want to go because she thought i would have more fun with just my friends but if went without her i know we would have been fighting for days hah. There was a lot of drama as well, girls were crying, couples were fighting. And it seemed like everyone was more interested in the after party lol. It was better than staying home thoough.
We were dating at the time, so I said: "Hey, wanna go to the prom?" And then she was all like "sure thing." I dusted my hands off and proclaimed "mission accomplished."
... or something like that. It was a while ago.
Anyways, the prom itself was sort of boring, but the activities afterwards were a blast. Loved the paintball.
It's been a while since my high school prom but if you had a girlfriend you obviously had to go and take pictures and whatnot because HS prom is important to girls. If you didn't have a GF you pretty much could just get any one of your platonic girl friends to go with you since afterprom parties (and the weekend after prom) is what it was really about anyway. Everyone went and everyone but the biggest losers found a date (ie even nerds went with each other) so I don't see why you wouldn't go.
Someone said it was too expensive. I mean I'm not sure how expensive proms are these days but unless it is in the five figures I can't see this as an excuse.
I didn't go. I was never asked to the prom. So is life.ayanami_rei
Same here. I didn't have a Girlfriend or date, so I didn't bother with the prom. That and I was never the type of guy that desired to go to school dances or any stuff like that anyways.

I just didn't care for it. :P People thought I was crazy because I'm a girl and didn't want to go to prom.Im not going to mine. If it included drinks I would probably go, but im not paying to get in and then having to pay for drinks as well!
I went and by God, I dominated the dance floor...Epic times...I miss them...Even if I broke up with the girl I went with, just the next day.
Prom was a freaking blast almost every time. A word of advice, going with a group of 8-10 people is awesome. I would try for a minimum of 6.
Sophomore year I got asked by a hot senior (although she is one of my best friends and our relationship was/is platonic) It was freaking amazing lots of fun and somewhat crude dancing, and the after party was stuff of legends. (even without alcohol we were an insane bunch)
Junior year I asked a girl that I knew would like to go with our group. (It consisted of an AIM message of "Do you want to go to prom with me?" "sure" "awesome" then back to normal banter) Again amazing. The after party wasn't quite as crazy but it was still a blast.
I also was asked to go to a different prom on a different weekend with a friend of mine. She didn't have a group to go with and I didn't know anyone at the part after words other than my date and her best friend so that wasn't amazing. Also she went to a fairly prudish private high school so the type of dancing we were aloud to do was limited to the less fun stuff.
Senior year I had a girlfriend so I obviously went with her. We went to the nicest restaurantin town (my best friend's girlfriend's dad owned the place so we got to eat there for free, which was ridiculous) We had a limo, and again the dance was awesome. Unfortunately the party fizzled out earlier than I would have liked (2AM or so) but it was still awesome.
