Here it is in simplest terms possible. . . When a developer builds a game on PS4 with Gaikai Vita/Galaxy Stream support . . that means the developer's MAIN PRIORITY is to make the game run perfectly on the PS4. THATS IT. The developer builds the game for PS4 and then AFTER the game is complete they can add support for Gaikai streaming service which for most part is up to Sony themselves to build. THe developers do very little work on actualy Gaikai support and do not have to worry about ANYTHING but making the game run perfect on the PS4 hardware.

The Xbox "Cloud" bullshit is that Microsoft thinks that developers will take the INSANE risk of having graphic assets on the Xbox Hardware and then somehow do some insane work-around to add Internet provided "Cloud" Graphical assets to mix in flawlessly with the Xbox Hardware. . . so Microsoft wants developers to somehow not just make the game run perfect on an isolated Xbox One console but somehow do the impossible task of mixing in "Cloud" Graphic assets on top of XBox One graphic assets and make it run perfect. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE, No developer will EVER take the risk of doing that because that means they have to build these imaginary scenarios like Xbox One + Perfect High-Speed Internet + Xbox Live + CLoud + Mixing in X1/Cloud graphics etc instead of the PS4 approach of just making the game run perfect on the BOX ITSELF, which is by far the simplest and most logical way to build a game.

SO basically Gaikai = Dev's build game on PS4. Gaikai may/may not be added AFTER GAME IS COMPLETE and running perfectly on PS4 itself with no other worries.

Xbox "cloud" graphcis = Dev's building half of game on X1 and creating theoritical scenarios of perfect internet connections to add graphic assest MIXED IN with X1 GRAPHIC ASSESTS. . .

If you had any idea of how insanely difficult it is to create and build Next-Gen games you would understand.

I have 36 gb left on mine and I have two shows, maybe 10 games and the apps. This New Xbox is looking cheaper and cheaper the more I look at it. With the size of the operating system, the size of the games , this thing is a a cheap joke. For example, MGS4 which is a 10 rated game on this site is 50 GB. Their using the cheaper video card its not bad but not great, cheaper ram DDR3 instead of DDR5..PS4 is rumored to have a "terabyte"oh well whats the point they will never listen to what people really want. Its a cash cow.

Kaizorn

And yet, I will still buy one :(

That is because you are a Microsoft employee, nice post count and all of them are spreading Xbox One propaganda.

Dumb Bastard.

PS4 also includes a camera with every console sold :? whats the difference?

CJ_ofCamelot

hey, Sony's the good guys here. Lets not derail the topic.

1. It has not been confirmed nor denied that PS4 Eye comes with each PS4 purchase. There will likely be two bundles, one with PS4 eye and one without.

2. PS4 EYE is NOT required to turn on and use the game system. Kinect 2 IS REQUIRED to use Xbox One.

3. PS4 is NOT REQUIRED to be online. Xbox One IS REQUIRED to be online.

[QUOTE="dxmcat"][QUOTE="always_explicit"]

Jesus do you realise how much legislation and how many laws there are regarding the privacy of personal information. The only way people can gain access to your personal information is if you give them express permission to do so. Much in the way certain applications downloaded from the appstore or android market ask for permission to access certain areas of your mobile phone. The only way they could access your information against your will is if you...as a potentially ignorant consumer granted them access to it unintentionally...eg-not reading the access priveladges/terms and conditions.

The legal ramifications for a company as large as Microsoft ignoring the privacy of information for millions up on millions of users does not bare thinking about, think law suits, huge payouts, fines.

Microsoft want to sell us products, the information they gather is certred around that fact, they can see what movies we watch and what games we play, that is more than enough information they require to sell products aimed at a particular demographic.

A gigantic multinational corparation have little interest in listening to my conversations about what colour to paint the kitchen. When I sit semi-naked playing Skyrim in my underwear...the relevant information is that I am playing Skyrim for X number of hours....not the fact that I am in my underwear.

This Big Brother scaremongering is slightly nieve....

always_explicit

MS has already said they would bend over for the govt if it came to easedropping on skype convos............now theres going to be a camera in a bunch of living rooms........not too hard to figure out what is going on here.

well any democratic government found to be spying on its populace via a games console in a living room is likely to be pretty short lived dont you think. I have no doubt the potential exists for people to abuse this technology much like it already exists with webcams....however you really have to ask what possible benefits exist from doing so. The negatives outweigh the advantages.

If they can get away with it, they will do it . . . If Microsoft is working with the government to spy on people that means they are directly protected by the government as they are implicated also not just Microsoft.

If there is spying nobody will EVER know, EVER
