What? MMO games REQUIRE High-End PC systems to run the Graphics/physics etc. the only thing the "Server" does in an MMO is the same thing a server does in Halo/Call of duty or any other online game! Which is to combine all the clients into one persistent world to play in. This whole Xbox "Cloud" thing is nothing more than a bunch of servers which ANY company can do. Blizzard is doing it right now with WoW, I am sure Blizzard likely owns 100,000+ servers to run there games . . but they dont use stupid buzzwords like "cloud". The Xbox One "Cloud" CAN NEVER, WILL NEVER ADD ANY GRAPHIC UPGRADES TO ANY NEXT-GEN GAME EVER. . . . EVERRRRRRRRRR If you had a single clue how games work you would never think it did in the first place.[QUOTE="rhodes1"][QUOTE="Mr720fan"] Knockout punchronvalencia
MMO doesn't require high-end PC systems i.e. I can run Star Trek Online or WOW from my laptop.
Next-Gen MMO's will require high-end PC's not a **** 10 year old game . . .[QUOTE="ronvalencia"][QUOTE="LegatoSkyheart"]MMO server/client model is successful. Knockout punch What? The problem with your post TC is that you have to actually believe M$ actually cares about making xbone have better graphics than PS4.
Ask yourself, do you really think M$ cares about people's gaming experinces...when they come out saying they want to compete with google and apple for TV market space? Look at how they left the 360. MS doesn't want to invest in games at all because it's a risk every time and they don't want to waste any money on anything that they don't think will give them an instant and guarenteed turn around.
That's why they wanted to make xbone always online to ensure that even if they don't produce any games they will still get money out of you to keep the system running.
The only think M$ REALLY wants to do with cloud is to use kinect to collect customers information to store it in their servers to send people ads. PERIOD. The mention of xbox 1 using cloud to increace gaming performance was never a serious idea from MS, they know what you said in your OP probably better than anyone else...they are a software compnay after all.

You are spewing assumptions. And all your posts sound like you're having a conniption.
and also I have a pretty good basis for my argument here. I can't make a factual statement that MS does not care about gamer experince but the direction they are trying to move in suggests they would be willing to drop it if they could have something else that reqired less investments on their part. The whole cloud thing also isn't without a logical foundation...I will ask you two question if you believe I am so wrong.
1. Why did MS say they want kinect to always be connected and always on?
2. Way was/is that so important to them and what significance does that serve for them?
Because for Microsoft the gamer is the product and Kinect is the key on how to sell the information. Microsoft sees a future in where the Kinect will be in every home watching and listening to everything, picking up key words, scanning the room, scanning the brands of clothes you wear. It just so happens Microsoft is also planning to build a CCTV state of the art facility in every city in the USA with the 1st being built in NYC this summer and rapid expansion soon after . . . with all this CCTV/Kinect/Bing etc all feeding into a massive server(300,000) complex in Ohio. SO basically Microsoft wants to sell you and spy on you for the government. My personal theory is that EVEN COMPLETE IDIOTS, the so called "Bro-gamers" will not fall for it . . .does microsoft think the "bro-gamer" in college or even the Dad bro gamer wants a Kinect spying on them? Even the most hardcore Madden/CoD fan who is brain-dead has enough brain cells to rub together to understand that having a HD camera in there private space is not a good thing to have.
