[QUOTE="SPYDER0416"]

Yeah, the commander mode was poorly implemented (though it was a great idea) and most people just used it to screw around, but it had a lot of potential and there are other games that have done a better job with that kind of thing.

Red Orchestra 2 also had a commander do things like force respawns and fire artillery, and I think they did an ok job. Honestly though, I think the only way for a commander mode to work is if they make some big changes from BF2's version of it, since it was highly overrated then.

I think the best way to make a useful commander is to force them to be commanders and not soldiers. In other words, like what NS2 did, with the leader not having a role in the Battlefield at all in exchange for the various active and passive abilities they had. Something like that seems a bit too ambitious though.

yea the RO2 commander was interesting since in order to call in artillery he needed to get to a radio which might be located at a dangerous part of the map. However with destruction physics artillery might be overly abused.

I'd still rather a flawed, optional commander role over none at all.

Similar to that but what if the commander has to stay in the building at a base, then along with the general game mode the opposite team could also play strategic and take out the commander from the building.

I have an xfx 7950- and it can be a bit loud- mostly due to my case fans though. You should be fine with the noise, and i would go with the GHZ.

I remember in bc2 there were a couple standout servers wheere the games wre always evenly matched. Anyone have a good server that they like for Rush?

I bought BF3 recently but i need people that use teamwork in my squad, i remember in the bc2 days that once you got a server that had a good group of people that you knew it was much more fun.

So either add me name is ahaider

or just if you guys could mention a good server with great competitive players.

Or if you had a clan that doesn't need all the "application" stuff
