Well... 70 degrees celcius is 158 degrees fahrenheit. So if I were you, I would turn off your computer ASAP and install some fans.

That temp is fine for that cpu. No need to shut off the computer. Although, if he/she can lower it that would be great. Which is why mitu123 asked about the cooler. I do believe the max is 105 for that.

105 is the max for modern GPUs, it's way too high for a CPU.

Yeah I saw that mistake a bit after posting it. Ha, shows what a lack of sleep does and I shouldn't have posted it. I'm betting tc has a stock cooler.

So have 4 fans in a rosewell challenger. But 2 of them are blowing air in while two others are blowing out should't that be enough?

Can you just confirm it is the CPU temp? If so, the cooler/thermal paste isn't applied properly.

As long as the intakes are at the front and the exhausts are back/top the case is fine. Is it GPU or CPU temp?

The conductive channels through Ivy Bridges' 3-D gate transistors have a much larger surface area than traditional planar transistors, so Ivy Bridge CPU's run hot under load. That does seem a bit high if the CPU isn't being maxed though.. What CPU cooler are you using? What's the ambient temp in your house? How high do your CPU temps get when you run Prime95 or IntelBurn test?

Should be, doesn't mean it will be. My phenom didn't like stock cooling. It hit 65, with my 212+ it maxes about 45.

I can't really answer either of your questions. You should be fine for now, but don't take me to court if you're not. And intel probably have some small print that means it isn't their fault or something.

105 is TJMAX for ivy bridge. Obviously u dont ever want it that high.. About 80 is tops with Prime95 IMO

Run Prime95 for 20 min just to check ur temps under 100% load. After that: Try lowering ur voltage by .03 over and over until you can't boot windows, once you can't boot raise the voltage by .02 and run Prime 95 for at least 3-4 hours (ideally 12 hours). If u get a BSOD during Prime95 raise the CPU voltage by .02 and try again. You should be able to significantly undervolt your cpu at stock clocks which will greatly reduce temps. With Prime95 My 3770k gets to about 57 degrees while overclocked to 4.4 Ghz and 1.15 Voltage
