Everyone knows the fps online game that started it all was Tribes.

I know if they would make a next gen version ofit for ps3/xbox360 it would be a competitor with halo3/r.f.o.m.

Seriously how do we get gaming studios that put out such garbage like movie based games but the ones that make good games just seem to disappear.

Atleast with Microsoft and Sony your getting hardware that actually costs as much or more than what your paying.

With Nintendo they are putting in equipment that costs them around $100 dollars.

This is only a personal review after having played the demo. This review is not from any magazine or game review website.

After having played Stranglehold for a few minutes my first question to myself was "how can such a generic shooter be just now coming out on next gen game systems?"

I started out shooting a couple enemies by running around and pointing the gun at them and shooting. I then tried out the "special slow mo tequila mode" where you get skill points for killing people while doing "skill" things such as sliding accross a table or jumping. You then use your tequila points to regain health.

As far as sliding across tables its as "easy" as standing next to a table and pressing the direction pad toward the table. "frustrating" could be substituted for "easy" because your character has a tendancy of sliding back and forth over tables like its a freaking slip and slide. This feature seems to have been added to the game as a great idea but left in the game with not much of a thought as to how to make it cool.

As far as slow motion is concerned, its not a new feature at all and has already been used better back in the game F.E.A.R. This feature does not do anything to add to the game.

In final conclusion about this game I would guess it will get a 5 out 10. Its an ultra generic shooter style game with nothing new added in the way of gameplay. I would rather play a crappy port of sonic the hedgehog then subject myself to this game. I would recommend nobody buy this game, and i wouldn't even recommend renting it.

Need for speed needs to go away before it turns into pimp my ride. The older versions of need for speed were good but the new ones are just crappy.

Any and every movie based game needs to not even be created. Im sorry pirates of the caribean and spider man. I liked your movies but why the hell would i ever want to torture myself with a half assed port of a game of this genre.

Star trek games. Again need i say more?

Tomb Raider- you had a good run while it lasted but its so old i dont think theres any more tombs to raid.

And finally EA!!!!! if your going to monopolize the NFL atleast make a decent game. I know i know, it can get hard remaking a game over and over again where all you have to is improve it but somehow you manage to create more bugs each game than the previous one out.

Even though xbox360 doesn't use any kind of motion sensing technology or even new rumble technology it doesn't mean you can't enjoy a higher level of immersion when playing games like halo 3.

Just think every time you are flying one of the planes and your xbox360 starts to crank up the noise level due to the disc drive and the cooling fans you can imagine its just your plane's jet engine roaring. But if you happen to be doing anything else like running around or driving a vehicle then i guess your out of luck.

I just updated to 1.92 this afternoon. Played warhawk fine for a while. Then tried to get on tonight and once i click accept to terms and agreements i get stuck at connecting screen which then leads to a network timeout which then leads back to main screen with option of online or lan game options.

Anyone else having this problem?
