Can we be honest here? Ryse, Titanfall, Dead rising and Sunset over drive all third party exclusives for Microsoft. This is only the first year too. Tomb raider is another. Microsoft is good not to complain because look what they have already done.
I'm reading a lot of impressions about this game. Gamespot reviewer KV seems to think that racing games should be open world. I just don't understand this. LOL! I am sitting here trying to rack my brain around why racing games have to be open world? The truth is that they don't. Track based racers have usually been my favorite like the older Burnouts, Ridge racers and Mario Karts. I am dumb founded at this sort of nonesense. Why can't developers do or make what they want to make as oppose to everyone do the same thing and we will rate you low if you don't. I can't stand the mainstream gaming sites reviews sometimes so full of click bait. The funniest thing is when this game becomes free and people will be like for a free game this is incredible. LOL! Dissapointed. These guys know how to make racing games and good ones at that. I have a feeling that I will like this and leave open world driving to GTA5 online or something LMAO!
I am 17 hours in and I can say that I did not play this game before. Gameplay wise as far as what Lara can do right now that they can expand on I really like it. The execution is alittle off by Uncharted standards. However, this is a great game and there are some things that you just wish were better or more Drake like in the action in shooting and just overall tightness of the controls in general. But this is more gamey if you know what I mean and the sequel could be Uncharted 2 esque because there is a lot to like about the game. For some reason I cannot put this game over UC1. Why? I cannot fully put my finger on it but it must be something like the run and shoot, strong cover system etc... I don't know as far as checkboxes it is a better game with multiplayer tons of collectibles and optional tombs. This game as a foundation though the sky is the limit because they just have to tighten and get Lara back to her acrobatic ways and this series will be neck and neck with Uncharted which took the tomb raiding crown over this past gen. However, to underestimate ND would be a BIG mistake they could make UC4 the best game we have ever experienced.
@Jock9 You're going to really like it. Give it sometime and you will trust me.... Good hold over with tons of things to do until Infamous SS comes out. Really enjoying this game more than dare I say it AC2 as far as the series goes. So much freedom and attention to detail. You will sink hours in this game and that is the best compliment I can give it. Also because of the variety of things the game is trying to do I must commend them on the scale. Unique setting and feel too. The game should does not need to be an AC title though to be honest this could have been its own series.
Who cares about the launch lineup? Really there are hardly ever really good games at launch. This is about which system should I invest in for now AND the FUTURE not the near future either. I bet on PS. I personally will never miss Gears of War if it stayed exclusive. I am not that big an FPS guy so, I won't miss Halo that much especially if the music is not by the original composer. Without, Flower, Journey, Uncharted, Infamous and GOW3 I would have felt like I missed something. The only thing MS had game wise other than Live in someways was the Mass Effect series. Now they literally have nothing I am interested in. Titan fall looks old and truly like a COD mod. But it should be fun regardless but that is too high a price for a genre I don't care about.
