Wait wait wait wait wait....I just read here [http://www.t3.com/news/e3-2012-wii-u-official-specs-revealed] the Wii U doesn't even play dvd's...so does it still work games off of a CD?! What kind of supposed 'Next Gen Console' doesn't even play dvds?! Like Crap man even the Xbox and PS2 did. Someone please tell me I'm wrong.

You're incredibly, mind boggling wrong. The Wii U plays the DVDs that Wii games are on, but no it will not play DVD/Blu Ray movies to cut costs and avoid licensing fees. This isn't a bad thing because Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu and YouTube are all confirmed for Wii U. The Wii U uses a new disc format called iDensity, which is just as good as Blu-Ray. A single layered Wii U disc will be 25GB, with dual-layered ones in the future possibly doubling that. So no it doesn't "work games off of a CD?!"

Thanks for clearing that up. But i still think the WiiU will suck and not because of the games or because of the hardware, but beause of that stupid-ass controller.

[QUOTE="jer_1"]Well crud, I started with MGS3, how they set the order in the main menu. I got about 6 hours in last night, it's a pretty cool game but damn the controls on this game are quite terrible and frustrating, especially when it comes to shooting (which you do a lot of course). The barely holding down square thing while holding R1 and holding L1 to aim is damn near maddening to me. Then every time you let go of square you either lose track of your target or snake just starts running off somewhere. I don't see how Kojima accepted this control scheme, it could have been a lot smoother. That said, the story in MGS3 is pretty good so far, other than people showing off their gun twirling skills for 10 minutes straight. Another thing I wondered is MGS3 actually has MGS1 and MGS2 (the old 8bit versions) inside the game that you can play from the getgo, should I play those before I play MGS2?evilross

You will get used to the controls, it just takes a little time. Once you get it down, you'll be a CQC master, and feel like a sneaking king.

I can't stress this enough though, don't listen to these jokers. If you are new to the series DO NOT play MGS2 until you have at least played through MGS3 and MGS1. Then play MGS4 directly afterward.

Peacewalker is not really needed to get the full effect of the story, but Peacewalker had one of the better storys of the series taken as a stand alone game. Plus PeaceWalker is just awesome and fun. MG 1 and 2 are not really needed either, but if you want to play them, do so after Peacewalker.

The best order is MGS3 - Peacewalker - (MG 1 & 2) - MGS - MGS2 - MGS4

Don't listen to these Jokers? Why Wouldn't You play MGS2 Before 3, guess what when that game came out anyone who was playing MGS played that before 3. It makes sense to play 2 before 3. Now if you really want to get a grasp play 1, 2 , 3, and 4 in that order. don't skip around.

[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"]

People seem to like to trump up its lacking library as one of the main reasons why its failing.. Yet seem to completely avoid another key thing..

Lets take look at the3ds, it released with a $250 price tag and even than it was widely seen as bad until the price drop.. Even for the people who paid the $250 they got a dozen free games.. Even then you were able to play games right out of its package..

Now we have the PS vita which is of course more powerful but with one of the worse business policies I have ever seen.. For that $250 it doesn't even ship with a memory chip, so you can not actually use the majority of its functions let alone play games more or less until you get a memory card.. To add more injury to insult Sony in their greed decided to create their own unique memory chip which has effectively allowed them to over price their chips.. When a SD card is signifcantly cheaper than the Vita specific chip! So if your wanting to download any large amount of games on the chip we are looking at spending upwards to $50 or more! When a Sd chip half that price can store as much as the the PS vita chips..

This is absolute FAIL based upon console that is largely based around direct download services.. Than we have the inexcusable lack of features that should have released that existed on the older PSP's such as being able to play PSone classics at release..

In the end of the day I don't understand why no one has brought up this huge flaw, that one really isn't paying $250.. One really is paying any where between $270 or if you wanta chip with a decent size anywhere upwards to $320.. All for a system that at this time not only has a lacking library but more specifically doesn't have features that the old PSP has had for years, such as play PSone classics..

Your english hurts my eyes o.O lol. Anyway, the Playstation VITA (not PSP Vita as you titled it) is a great system. Does it suck that they decided to make those proprietary Vita card? Yeah it does. But that's not a reason to dismiss an entire console. Like someone else said on here Microsoft did that and look how well the Xbox has done. For being a Handheld console the Vita has a very good future IMO. Great graphics, good games, great hardware and if they ever get that cross platform play working (playing ps3 games on the vita) then it'll be awesome

no playstation 3D tv is meant to be played with the ps3PinnacleGamingP

That... Doesn't say anything.

There are other 3Dtv's out there :?

its ONLY 3D on the PS3!!!

that text was just copied from the ps3 description..... check the net everyone knows this stop trying to spread lies....heres an easy link...if youd like there are tons more but i wanna see some reaction.

"Silent Hill: Downpour is a survival horror video game and the eighth installment in the Silent Hill series. Developed by Vatra Games and published by Konami Digital Entertainment, the game was released for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360[2][3] on March 13, 2012 in North America and March 30, 2012 in Europe.[4] Downpour's PlayStation 3 release is the first in the series to be 3D.[1][2]"

Idk Silent Hill downpours cover says 3D compatible on the 360 Version, so did they screw the box art up too...?

Bought it even though I was weary of it, it definately doesn't deserve a 4.5 7.5 is a good score for it.

So Sad because I planned on buying this game, I've never played a Silent Hill game and this one Kind of looked Alan Wake-ish which I thought would be cool. It's unfortunate because that 4.5 reaaalllly discouraged me buying it. :x Stupid IGN.

GS's review is much better and far more forgiving. Watch that

Maybe I'll just altogether skip this one and wait for the Silent Hill HD collection, instead of getting this one the first Silent Hill I'll play will be the ones everyone says are good :)

Man oh Man, Metal Gear Solid 4 is a definate, just a great game there. Also God of War 3 is crazy awesome and who could have a ps3 without Uncharted 1, 2 or 3
