@horizonwriter: No thats no how that works. The Xbox uses supersampling. They operate like PCs do. Using your logic people with 1080Ti are hampered by people with 970s.
The way it really works is the OG Xbox is low settings, the X1S is medium and the X1X is high.
In contrast the Pro doesnt do this. Thats why X1X has way more enhanced games than the Pro at launch.
@pcps4xb: Well received is subjective to say the least. I actually sold my PS4 because I don't like most of their exclusives and I'm not really into anime type games.
The games I bought the PS4 for originally like Kingdom Underfire 2 and EQ Next got scrapped.
And in my original comment I addressed the comparison between the original Xbox One and the X1X.
If you have a 4K tv its like a generational jump in performance. Halo 5 looks so much better now its like a brand new game.
And even if you don't have a 4K tv, the X1X has supersampling which makes all the games you had on the OG that ran lower than 1080 run at 1080p, this is without patches. That alone is worth the upgrade.
Saying you already have an X1 is like saying I'm cool with keeping my PS3 instead of buying a PS4 comparatively.
@Gbullet: Really? Its mostly Sony fans throwing salt from what I can see. I am 110-percent satisified with my X1X its literally the best gaming purchase I have made since I built a new rig to play WoW in 2004.
Delete the games from the PS4 list that either are terrible (DriveClub, The Order, Knack) or games that nobody really plays (most of those Japanese games that cant sell 500K copies with a 60+ million install base) and add in games like Halo 5, Gears 4, Path of Exiles, Conan Exiles, Cuphead, Super Luckys Tale, Halo Wars 2, Ori and the Blind Forest to the Xbox list and try reposting it.
Not to mention stuff like FFXV is also on Xbox.
You Sony fanboys don't even know what games are even on Xbox.
@neoistheone: PlayStation fanboys live in a bubble where they believe the bulk of gamers aren't all mostly playing multiplats on both systems. That game Hellblade only sold 250k copies on PS4 and that's with a 60 million PS4 user base.
As someone that owns an X1X, this is seriously one of the worst articles I've ever read on this site.
Anyone that's actually seen and played on an X1X compared to the original Xbox understands what I'm saying. Seriously the X1X is like a generation leap in quality.
The whole 'buy a pc' argument is BS. You cant build a comparatively priced PC that will give you the performance and perks on the X1X. The specs might be the same but it will be an outdated potato rig relatively quickly. And it wont have things like BC for your existing Xbox collection.
Theres also parts of this person's opinion that are factually inaccurate. Nothing currently looks and runs better on PSPro than on X1X. Not to mention intangibles like the supersampling the X1X has that makes games even on a 1080 tv look and run better automatically. Out the gate X1X had over 100 enhanced games the Pro list is pretty much stagnating.
Other intangibles:
--X1X has a 4k Bluray player. --X1X has Dolby Atmos --X1X is currently the only existing device that supports HDMI 2.1 which will make a HUGE difference in game performance in the next couple of years.
Throwing out a couple of PS exclusives that came out months ago and stating 'theres no games on Xbox' is ludicrous. I currently have something like 250 games on my Xbox. Theres no shortage of games, or even console exclusives currently.
If you want the best multiplat performance outside of a PC, the X1X is going to be it.
Gamespot has really jumped the shark with their fanboying for Sony.
