@twerkloak: can you prove what you saying? or youre just a fanboy that believes in every PR bullshit Sony drops on you? have you seen the menus of both engines development software tool?
@gamingdevil800: what you said (what you believe) is exactly my point, sony hides the fact that they (sony) financed and distributed the same engine for all their exclusive devs, so this way sony can say "we have the best devs working for us and they are very talented and squeeze every last drop of performance from the ps4" but the true is that they are lying, is really looks like every sony exclusive dev use a similar engine that they could not build by their own, they are not so talented and they cannot make miracles with ps4's hardware
all ps4 exclusives share the same engine, just look at uncharted, killzone and many others, they all look very similar, just like most ea games look alike today on frostbyte, sony hides this info to create a false image that they have many competent devs working for them, instead they have just one big team of the best devs from many studios to create a single engine shared by them all, same happens elsewere
@simplytheebest: fh3 running on 30fps high preset on XO (if were true) only means that a $70 HD7770 could do the same on PC if properly ported, but high settings 30fps is not real: Digital Foundry "we strongly suspect that various settings are scaled dynamically during play in order to stabilise performance. LODs in particular vary substantially from scene to scene, especially noticeable on foliage detail, which often looks similar to the PC version operating at low or medium settings."
@simplytheebest: ok, so my gtx 660 runs battlefield 1 at constant 60fps at the same settings as the ps4 runs it at 45fps, so accounrding to you i just proved pc hardware gets optimized over time and now my card became 25% faster than the ps4, because you know, 1 single game proves it all
@simplytheebest: you cant use 1 game as example, if hundreds of games perform the same and ocasionally 1 game performs better tha expected on pc or console it does not mean the pc or console became optimized, it only means a bad c or console port
@edhc44: the hardware on the PS4 is high end PC hardware from 5 years ago, PS4 was a mid-end hardware PC equivalent 3 years ago when released, my gtx 660 is as powerfull as a PS4 or a 5 years old high end PC, my PC performs the same or outperforms PS4 in every game ive tested
but you can go as far behind as ps3 era hardware or even ps2, the same no optimization is seen everywhere

debunking the myth of console optimization from 2000 to 2013
@edhc44: the pc that is 200% faster than the console on launch day will be 200% faster (in any game) 8 years later, the thing is that consoles start to get below low settings games in mid gen, check it now, battlefield 1 is below low settings running on 900p ish and 40fps in the PS4, thats what long console generations is all about, absurdelly cripling downgrades
