They're going to have to start realizing that even if theaters did re-open, they would be at like half capacity to enforce social distancing, so movies wouldn't make nearly as much money just from that alone. They really, REALLY need to start embracing the idea of on demand releases worldwide instead. I like watching a movie in a theater just as much as anyone else, but it's really not worth potential death just to enjoy it that way.

Totally saw this coming. MS has been wayyyy too generous, it has been very unlike them. This is much more in line with the MS we all know and expect.

Gee, it's ALMOST like companies, Sony included, started making season passes and pre-order DLC and complete editions and releasing games multiple times and deluxe editions with virtual items added to them and blah blah blah to increase that base cost of a game so they make...MORE money.

It's also ALMOST like, despite base game price staying the same, the number of people who BUY video games for home use has ALSO grown exponentially too.

The BASE number to make up the cost of a 150 million dollar game in sales?? 2.5 million.

We KNOW for a fact, any game worth its salt (and many games that are just pandering to the unintelligent sheep up eat up the same shit year after year) sell FAR, FAR more than that.

And oh yeah, EA makes HOW effing much from just packs in FIFA games year after year?? 1.7 BILLION.

So Layden really means, is that companies can't expect to keep increasing their profits at some point, they can't expect to continue to make oodles and OODLES of money if their costs keep increasing. Feel EVER so sorry for the companies making all this money, guys, pretty please?? *rolls eyes*
