@simplytheebest: You liked the GTX 1060 no Sli schooling so much you came back for more.

Ok, here it comes. Movies mostly use short depth of field lenses for any shots dealing with the actor. They only use wide angle lenses for establishing shots.

That's why when you see Tom Cruise, or Brad Pitt in a scene, their face is super sharp but everything else in the background is completely blurred.

Which means there is ZERO draw distance. That's how movies achieve the cinematic effect by removing all the nonsense in the background and focusing on just the actors.

The Order uses cinema lens effects so it actually uses this low depth of field cinematography to place actors in focus and blur out the background.

And I will say it again. DRAW DISTANCE has nothing to do with photorealism. Its polygon density, you can draw from here to Timbuctoo but if your shit looks fake, it still looks fake. That's why open world games cannot have photo realistic graphics, the machines can't handle the polygon density needed for open world environments.

Lesson over.

@simplytheebest: WTF does photorealistic have anything to do with draw distance. Photorealism comes from polydensity, Einstein, not draw distance.

When was the last time you watched a Hollywood movie starring Brad Pitt and looked at Brad's face and said, man if only he had more draw distance he would look more real.

Are you slow, kid?

Photorealism comes from an model having enough polygon density to look like its real life counterpart. It has fck all to do with draw distance.

The Order looks like a Hollywood movie because of its polydens character and location models.

Learn something bro. I'm giving you schooling here.

@simplytheebest: Saying that you own a SLI Card does not mean you own two cards, iit just means you own a card able to do SLI. There are GTX cards that don't do SLI in case you didn't know.

Having DUAL SLI cards means you own 2 SLI Cards. Quad SLI Cards means you own 4 SLI Cards.

Not brain surgery.

This looks photorealistic to you?

Are you smoking something?

I think you are mistaking ultra high resolution with photorealism here buddy.

Every heard of polygon density? A model will never look more realistic regardless of resolution if the original polygon density is low. That's basic game development 101.

The reason CGI in movies look good is due to the polydense models used to create the render. But open world games like where you can go where you please like FPS and Horizon cannot achieve such polygon dense models due to the fact that no video console or home PC can handle such models in open world environments.

Thus The Order looks great, because you are confined to small controlled set pieces and cannot wander beyond the set pieces, hence its character models are so polygon dense and hence it doesn't have that cheesy toy figure video game effect.

Now you learned something.

Now if you are talking about the car game Forza Horizon 3.

It does not look photorealistic. The Need for Speed on XB1 and PS4 looks better than Forza.

@simplytheebest: You telling me this looks like real life to you?

https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5611/18849066731_b9f0da08b9_b.jpg

Somebody needs to get their eyes checked, cause that looks like a really detailed action figure to me. That does not look like real life, look at the grass in the background looks fake as hell.

Also if you talking about Forza Horizon 3.

This does not look real to me either.

Now this looks like a movie.

@simplytheebest: Quicktime fest, you do realize that The Order is an Third Person Shooter right? Its not a David Cage interactive movie game.

Have you even played The Order?
