@simplytheebest: I have to wait for it to come out. But from what I can see in the trailers. It still looks like a video game, the character models don't look like real life to me.
You cannot make open world games with the level of CGI quality Polygon density as The Order, its impossible. No machine would be able to push that kind of polydense models in an open world game.
@wendopolis_bruh: Gamespot really need to hire some competent web-designers. How hard is to have the comment notices automatically track its origin. Every other website on earth has this feature, yet Gamespot cannot do it. You need to manually find your replies. Fucking joke.
But yeah, The Order 1886 is a good game. It transported me back to that era, and the graphics are not only the best on console, they are the best on anything PC included.
I have a 4K PC, and I can tell you, NOTHING looks as real as The Order to this day.
The Order was a breakthrough in graphics. To this day no game has matched its polygon density on character model. That's what happens when Sony gives you an carte-blanc and unlimited financial resources. You get insane graphics.
Also we just don't have the hardware able to push The Orders character models inside an open world environment. They are too polydense to exist outside of an controlled environment.
@CyberEarth: You had me when you said "bifurcates". LOL
Yes this mid-gen upgrade will have an effect on future early adopters and will further lower console userbase when next gen rolls around as people feel reluctant buy the first iteration of PS5.
I think they are trying to pull an Nintendo with a last cycle hardware upgrade cash grab, ala DSi and New 3DS.
But keep in mind Nintendo only pulls the end cycle cash grab at END CYCLE, never at mid-cycle. That's how Nintendo gets away with it.
They wait until the console is nearly dead and all hardware movement has stagnated before releasing a quick last minute cash grab with a Newer spec gear, then they quickly phase out the console altogether.
I think 2 console specs per generation can work, only as a last minute cash grab. You literally need to wait until the very last year of the consoles life span before releasing that last cash grab unit.
A) Doesn't change the fact that consoles are not multi-purpose like PCs. Does it. Whether your 2001 PC does Photoshop is irrelevant. You've just proven my point PC are multipurpose and consoles are not.
B) Pirating is bad blah blah blah. Nobody cares, human beings are inherently selfish. Plus nothing beats FREE. Try telling everybody in Brazi and Moscowl if they can't afford it then don't get it, good luck with that.
