@jamujey What war crimes has Israel gotten away with in Gaza? A British general just came out in support of Israel saying that they take unprecedented action to prevent civilian deaths. If we're trying to get the facts straight, Hamas has been firing rockets at Israel since 2002. Even after cease fires they continue to launch rockets. The Israeli citizens around Gaza live in constant fear of rocket attacks. There is on average one rocket attack a day. Israel is simply trying to protect its citizens. If Hamas laid down its weapons there would be peace, if Israel laid down its weapons there would be no State of Israel.

@jamujey I'm not saying peace is not possible. It is possible in the West Bank with Fatah. They are a legitimate governing body in the West Bank. Hamas, however, is a terrorist organization as categorized by the United States, and refuses to recognize the State of Israel, anywhere. Even in pre-67 boundaries. It is committed to the destruction of Israel in its founding charter. So please, look at the facts on this conflict.

@jamujey Look at where the conflict is. Israel has no territory in Gaza. In fact they pulled out of Gaza in 2005. If this were the West Bank we were talking about, things are a little more hazy, but Gaza is clear. Israel has no settlements in Gaza anymore. They did years ago but they were dismantled. And what did Hamas do to thank Israel? They shot rockets. over 12,000 of them. Hundreds this year alone, BEFORE ISRAEL RESPONDED WITH OPERATION PILLAR OF DEFENSE.

@R2C25 @hector530 I wish people dug for the truth too. Far too often the media jumps on a story only to find it proven false later on. Like the photo from Syria that was supposedly in Gaza.

@jamujey No, I'm saying that a terrorist organization does not have the right to indiscriminately target civilians. So are you saying Osama bin Laden should have been allowed to attack the US and the US should not have gone into Afghanistan? That is essentially what is happening in Israel in the towns by the border with Gaza. Towns that are in Israeli territory.

@jonsono2 @setsinanju @Dragon-Power I know. It's a horrible thing. Both Palestinians and Israelis are getting killed. I hope to God that peace comes to the region.
