@evil_m3nace Israel has never intentionally bombed innocents. In fact they have been calling off air strikes when civilians have been in the area, as well as targeting specific floors known to house terrorists and not simply flattening the whole building.
On the other hand, Hamas does not to anything to avoid civilian casualties and uses human shields.
@hector530 @Jebril Let's take a little history lesson from Wikipedia. Israel disengaged from Gaza in 2005. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel's_unilateral_disengagement_plan Since the disengagement thousands of rockets have reigned down on Israeli cities.
@adilejaz @hector530 You do realize that Israel has offered a two state solution numerous times. Israel has not fired on Hamas terrorists firing rockets into Israel for a long time. Israel negotiated a cease fire after Cast Lead and Hamas did not hold it. What do you propose Israel does? How can it bargain with people who not only continuously fire at its citizens after ceasefires, but also who call for the destruction of the state of Israel in their charter?
If you were referring to the West Bank and Fatah, your argument would hold more water. There is no problem with a two state solution with them because they are not trying to destroy the state of Israel like Hamas. Hamas continued to target Israeli cities after Israel disengaged from Gaza in 2005.
@Whole-Lotta @DrizztDark There have been a total of 5 deaths so far that I know of. Possibly another. This does not mean that Israel does not have the right to defend itself. Any rocket has the potential to take human life. It is easy to think you know what is going on when you live in another country, but until you hear the sirens go off and have 15 seconds to run for your life, you have no idea. There is no such thing as normal life in Sderot because your life revolves around being 15 seconds away from a bomb shelter. Just because the rockets are inaccurate does not mean they do not kill. Not a single country would put up with rockets raining on their cities. Not America, not Britain, not Egypt, and not Iran. No one would. It is this right of defense that Israel is fighting for.
Thank you for telling me about that documentary. I have to go find it and watch it. Is it on Netflix. For the record, I am for a two state solution. I believe we can achieve everlasting peace, although there is a proper way to do it. I believe that is possible with Fatah, although Hamas in fully committed to the destruction of Israel in its founding charter.
Ok so let me ask you this. What do you want Israel to do when thousands of rockets rain down on its citizens?
@Suikogaiden Please name one. It doesn't exist. Israel gave up all settlements in Gaza in 2006. Read about it yourself my friend. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel's_unilateral_disengagement_plan
